Jade's POV Yesterday's private at gymnastics went smoothly. No one suspected a thing when I randomly decided to wear a long sleeve leotard.
The next day, I was lying in bed when Mom entered my room, vlogging as usual.
"Come downstairs soon, we need to have a family meeting." Mom said, pointing the camera at me.
"Okay." I replied quietly before Mom exited my room. The last one was when Mom and Dad asked us if we wanted to keep vlogging after Caleb's passing. I put my hair in a messy bun and checked over the outfit I'd put on earlier.

I was wearing purple Nike leggings, a t-shirt that said I am not perfect but I'm a gymnast (so close enough), and a purple Under Armour hoodie over it.
Let's just say, the self harm I did the first time definitely wasn't the last. The first time I did it was to block out the pain I was feeling. As time went on, I began to do it without a reason. I wanted to feel the pain.
"Jade, hurry up! We're waiting on you!" Dad's voice shouted from downstairs. I sighed and opened my door, proceeding to go downstairs.
"Why are you filming?" I asked both my parents as I saw the camera. We never filmed our family meetings, so this was unusual.
"We think the viewers need to know too." Dad answered. I nodded and sat on the couch next to Annie and Hayley.
"Why did you call a family meeting?" Annie asked.
"Well, you guys know how we're always busy in LA?" Mom began saying. We nodded our heads.
"We decided that we're going to move to LA." Dad told us as he smiled.
"Really?!" Hayley exclaimed excitedly as she stood up.
"Yep." Mom confirmed, grinning.
"I get to see Jayden more!" Annie smiled.
I didn't know what to say. I didn't want to move to LA. I have a life here in Maryland. What about gymnastics? I can't just quit. The gym is my home away from home. This house was the last house Caleb was in. How could we just move out and sell it so easily?
"Jade, how do you feel about this?" Mom asked, sensing my hesitation.
"I don't know." I admitted. "What about my gym and my friends?"
"We'll find you a new gym and you already have some friends in LA." Dad reassured me.
I nodded, still unsure.
As soon as I sat down on my bed, my phone went off. I got a text from Carson Lueders, one of our friends. Why would he randomly text me?

I was in shock. It's hard to believe that someone related to a famous singer would want to hang out with me!
"Mom! Dad!" I yelled in excitement as I ran downstairs into their bedroom where they were watching TV.
"Why are you so excited?" Dad asked as he paused the TV.
"Please, can I go to LA next weekend?" I asked my Mom with a hopeful look.
"Why do you want to go?" Mom replied, with a curious expression.
"Carson invited me to hang out with him, Christian, and Madison De La Garza. You know, Demi Lovato's sister?" I explained, trying to contain my excitement.
"Madison De La Garza? That's pretty cool. But we're leaving for LA in two weeks. Can't you wait until then?" Mom asked, trying to be reasonable.
"But Mom, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Please, can I go?" I pleaded, hoping Mom would change her mind.
"Okay, fine. We can leave Wednesday night, but you have to promise to behave and not cause any trouble." Mom said, giving in to my request.
"Thanks, mom! You're the best!" I hugged Mom tightly, feeling grateful. I also hugged Dad.
I ran upstairs and began to pack after I texted Carson that I was available.
As I continued packing, Annie appeared at my door. "Hey, Jade, it's time for the question of the day." She said, handing me the camera.
"What's the question?" I asked, curious.
"What would be on the gag reel of your life?" Annie asked, grinning.
"Good one," I said, smiling as Annie left my room. I turned on the camera and began to film myself. "Hey, guys! So the question of the day is.. what would be on the gag reel of your life? I think my gymnastics falls and embarrassing moments would definitely be on there. What about you guys? Let me know in the comments!" I said before turning off the camera.
After finishing packing, I changed into a light gray sweater as a pajama top and laid down on my bed. Exhausted from the day, I fell asleep right away.
