Jade's POV
"Bye, Mom!" Annie and I say in unison as we get out of the car. We rushed into the gym, eager to start our gymnastics practice. We stowed our belongings in our cubbies and turned around to see Liv.
(A/N: Liv is in this book cause it's my story 😂)

"LIV!" I screamed, running over to Liv and tackling her in a hug.

"Geez! Are you trying to hurt me?!" Liv laughed, returning the hug. Then, Katie walked in the door.

"KATIE!" I yelled, running over to Katie and tackling her in a hug too. Katie held me effortlessly, showing off the strength that comes with being a gymnast.

"Are you a koala or something?" Coach Mary asked, chuckling.

"Yep!" I grinned. Katie drops me on the mat.

"Why!" I said, laughing.

"Girls, make sure you stretch!" Coach Mary shouted. All of us got on the floor and started stretching. I was sitting next to Liv, Annie was sitting next to me, and Katie was sitting next to Annie. We were all excited for our first gymnastics competition of the season, which was only a week away. Once we finished stretching, we headed off to the bars first.

"You got this, Jade!" Liv, Katie, and Annie cheered in unison. I began my bar routine, going through the steps in my head as I performed it. I almost stuck the landing.

"Great job, Jade!" Coach Mary smiled, giving me a high five and a hug. I walked over to Liv, Katie, and Annie, and we watched the others practice. Liv, Katie, and Annie had all gone before me and they were perfect! After everyone finished, Coach Mary looked at us.

"Okay, girls. We have half an hour left of practice. You can either practice tumbling in the pit or work on your floor routine with me," Coach Mary said.

Most of the girls went to the pit, but I decided to stay with Liv and work on my floor routine.

"I need to make my floor routine perfect." I said to Coach Mary.

"You don't have to be perfect, Jade." Coach Mary replied.

"But I need to be." I insisted. I quickly go to my starting position for my floor routine. It was going well until I fell on my butt. "Why can't I do it perfectly?!" I asked, lying on the floor. I stand back up and Liv hugs me.

"What makes you think you have to be perfect?" Liv asked, looking at me.

"I'll show you.." I say as I pull out my phone. I go to YouTube since it's worse there. I only showed her some comments that aren't so bad.

ihatejadeleblanc: Why can't you be more like Annie and Hayley? They're perfect. Why aren't you perfect?

jadeleblancsucks: You suck at gymnastics. Why aren't you perfect at it like Annie and Hayley?

"Jade.. don't listen to them.." Liv said and hugged me tight. I cried a little bit, but I quickly wipe the tears away. "Do your parents know?" She asked me.

"No.. they can't know!" She nodded, understanding how I feel.

"Daddy!" I yelled as Dad walked into the gym. I hugged him tightly, not wanting to let go.

Dad, Annie, and I walked out to the car in silence, and I couldn't help but feel like I wasn't good enough.
