What Luck(A One Direction Love Story)

Just Friends??

*3 weeks later*

"Niall where are we going?" Alissa laughed looking at his messy bleached hair.

"You will find out." He smiled holding Alissa's hand leading her.

"How far is it?"

"Umm I think we are getting close."

They continued walking for a while and then Niall stopped. He looked and smiled. Alissa looked over in the same direction. She looked back at Niall confused. Niall looked back down at her, "Come on" he lead her again into the direction they had just looked towards. The sun was starting to go down. They walked till they stopped again. "Here we are!"

"Why are we here? What are we doing?" Alissa asked confused. Niall let go of her hand and walked over to the nearest bush. He bent down behind it and pulled out a white blanket. The threw it over a tree branch, leaving it hanging. He bent over again this time grabbing something. He set it on the ground pointing towards the white blanket. Then finally he bent down again coming back up with a basket. He kneeled down and opened the basket. He pulled out a green blanket and laid it down on the ground. Niall looked up at Alissa and smiled, lightly showing his braces. "Want to sit down now?"

"Umm sure?" Alissa walked over to the blanket and sat on it.

Niall was setting up something. Then it flashed on. "I think we're ready." He pushed a button and a movie played.

"Beauty and the Beast?"

"Yep now one more thing." He reached into the basket again pulling out a thermos. "You can't forget the hot chocolate on a cold night like this."

"Of course." Alissa laughed. Niall poured it into two cups. He handed one to Alissa. She could feel the warmth of the cup on her finger tips. Niall sat next to Alissa and put his arm around her. She set her head on his shoulder. They both watched the Disney movie together, singing along.

"So how are things going with you and Zayn?" Niall asked keeping his eyes on the screen.

"Good. The whole friend thing is really working out surprisingly. I didn't think we would go this long just being friends." Alissa looked up at Niall.

"You seem happier, that's good." Niall said looking back at Alissa.

"I think you're right. I guess Zayn and I aren't suppose to be together, as a couple. We just need each other in our lives to keep each other stable . Someone to talk to. Someone to listen. Someone to help through things. A friend." Alissa thought for a second. "How am I just realising this?"

"What?" Niall asked eager.

"I... Never mind it's kinda crazy. Enough about me, how are things going with you?" Alissa asked.

"I can't complain."

"Any problems with Nicole?" Alissa gave him a smirk.

"No I think she is done with me. I'm not worth her time."

"Pssh, she isn't worth your time! At least your not giving in again, giving her what she wants."

Niall looked down, "Yeah, I guess. But she is probably the only girl that will ever like me."

Alissa looked at him surprisingly. "Niall, girls would kill to be with you! You have the personality, the looks, the voice! You are just... You!" She lifted her head from his shoulder and stared at him.

Niall looked back at Alissa. "You really think so?"

"Boy, I know so! A girl would be stupid to think other wise." They just stared at each other. Niall thought about the things she had said. Was it going to be worth it? Would everything go all wrong? He lightly moved the hair in Alissa's face behind her ear. Chills went down her back at his touch. They both slowly moved in. Only an inch between them, it started to rain. They both moved back quickly. "The movie!" They rushed and put things away into the basket.
