Shit. Absolute shit. That's what he felt like. His body still burned, his father made him relive his most traumatic experience, and at the end of the day-

He had to go back to the house his father was at, to the father he essentially attacked earlier that day.  He was in for a real treat later.

"-oki? You haven't eaten much. Are you feeling alright?"

Iida's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked at the blue-haired boy, who was staring sigh back at him, along with the other members of the table.

"I'm fine, Iida." He quickly lied. "Not that hungry right now."

Iida looked concerned, but changed the subject. "So, what do you all think you'll be doing for tomorrow, while we have a day off?"

Todoroki looked up at Iida with a confused face. "Why would we have a day off in the middle of the week?"

"Sensei said it in class. There's a mandatory hero conference he needs to attend, along with most other teachers here, so we were given the day off. Considering nobody would be here anyway."

A day off. Just his luck wasn't it? He should've expected that. Now he could be beaten to a pulp for a whole day. Maybe he should invite some friends to watch, make this a whole event. Though, why would he? He wouldn't even be there mentally. He would be outside of his body, sighing at how much it looked like a rag doll.

"My mom said if I want to I can have some friends over. You know- you guys. I-if you want. I mean- tomorrow we could go to the duck pond in my neighborhood. And there is a snack shop not far away from my house. It's not anything any of you are used to, you know being rich and all but-" Midoriya kept on rambling.

Uraraka put a thumbs up. "I'm not sure I could spend the night at a boy's house but I can come hang out tomorrow?"

Midoriya blushed. "Yea! That would be great."

"I'll inform my parents of my whereabouts, but I'm sure I'll be allowed to. Thank you Midoriya."

Midoriya smiled with closed eyes. He looked to Todoroki, "do you think you'll be coming?"

Todoroki thought for a second, then nodded. "Can I talk to you in private later?"

Midoriya's smile faltered at that. He still nodded, "yea." His voice was more serious. The only time Todoroki's asked to speak to him in private was when he told him about his messed up past. He hoped it was something better this time.

"Can you keep this a secret, as you have been?" Todoroki and Midoriya were walking side by side now, on their way to their last class.

"Yea, I will."

Todoroki contemplated just saying "never mind" and walking away. But he knew if he were to go home, he'd either freeze up from the memories, or be beaten. Having a friend there could combat both. Endeavor can't show anyone else that he's abusive, and Midoriya was able to snap him out of his memories before.

"I, need to ask a favor. It's not hard by any means, but it would be helpful."

"Anything, Todoroki!" Midoriya smiled, somewhat nervous.

Todoroki sucked in a breath. "I- since I've been staying at my home, I've been remembering more about the other things I've told you about. I'm afraid if I go there to pack later, I'll freeze up and never make it out." He left out the part where he trains. "I was hoping you could walk with me there, I don't think it would be as bad if someone was there."

"I- yes! Of course, I will." He touched Todoroki's shoulder. "Thank you, for asking me. I'm glad you're not trying to tough it out alone."

Todoroki just nodded. "I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I didn't want to ruin it by not showing up and worrying you all."
