Todoroki climbed out of the small black car, following his teacher to a small apartment. He unlocked the door and was met by a cozy-looking setting.

For one, it was normal-sized. Not small, but not a mansion like his home was. Or what used to be his home was. But he liked it better.

There was a dark grey wraparound couch with soft-looking pillows and blankets all over. A coffee table sat in front of it, magazines littering the dark wood. The rug underneath was white and had children's toys all over it. Barbies, Legos, stickers caught on the fabric. There was one cat, a calico with heterochromatic eyes that reminded him of his own. By the looks of the dog toys on the ground, there was probably a dog somewhere around there too. A huge flatscreen TV was mounted on the wall in front of the couch, playing cartoons loudly, apparently too loudly for Aizawa's liking because he turned it off briskly.

"Eri! I told you not to leave the TV on if you aren't watching it!"

From the back hallway, he heard a small voice get excited. "Papa's back!"

He heard another familiar voice. "Clean up before you go see him, Eri."

Footsteps approached from the hallway andPresent Mic revealed himself, his hair tied back in a messy bun/ponytail hybrid, and he wore baggy sweatpants and a robe. "Hey, little listener!" His smile was sweet, not like the ones he flaunted for his hero personality.

Todoroki nodded at him. He had no prior knowledge that the two teachers lived together and apparently had a daughter.

Speaking of which, a little girl with grey hair ran out of the hallway and hugged Aizawa's legs tightly and lovingly. "I missed you!"

"You saw me this morning Eri."

"I know that!" She pouted. Her eyes met Todoroki's and she ran to hide behind Hizashi.
He laughed and Aizawa explained.

"This is my student that's staying with us for a while, remember?" She nodded shyly. "Remember how you greet people."

She stepped forward nervously and held out her hand for Todoroki to shake. "My name is Eri."

He smiled in an attempt to seem sweet, and it seemed to work because soon she was smiling back. "I'm To- Shoto. I'm Shoto." He shook her hand gently and she retreated back to Hizashi's side.

Aizawa gestured for Todoroki to follow him, and so Todoroki picked up his bags and was led into the hallway. Aizawa showed him the guest room, the room he would be staying, and laid out the rules.

"No drugs. No smoking. No alcohol. No loud music past 8:00. No cooking unless you know how, you won't see Mic cooking much. Don't invite anyone over, cause it might reveal where you are and for whatever reason, you're not very liked right now. Don't send anyone your address. Clean up after yourself. Lastly, while Mic and I are gone for patrol you get to watch Eri."

Well, that was a lot at once. Still, it was a lot more lenient than the rules at his house.

'Stop calling it that. It's not your house anymore. This is your home until you find a permanent family.'

Aizawa left the room to let Todoroki settle in. the first thing he noticed was the bed. A real, four-legged bed. He didn't sleep on those much, but he had also slept on playground slides and couches before, so he couldn't complain.

The walls were painted an off-white, vanilla color, and the door was white. There was a small sliding door that led to a small clothing closet, with packing boxes on the overhead shelf. The room had light chestnut flooring and a round rug directly under the twin-sized bed. There was a desk in a corner of the room, empty and dusty.
