Wedding bells.

The aroma of flowers and champagne filled the nostrils of every guest in attendance.

"You may now kiss the bride."

The two woman who stood at the alter in their fine clothing sealed their vows with a tender and loving kiss. Every guest cheered at the open display of love.

After the ceremony, the guests were whisked away to the sound of the string quartet that played gracefully in the back ground.

Laughter, joy and happiness.

That is what graced the Blunt's, Monroe's and the West's over the past 12 months. Some would say that it was undeserved, some would even say that it was too good to be true. In reality, it was the mere aligning of the stars.

Erich was in the gardens of the grand manor that Ivana and Beth chose for their wedding, the venue was beautiful and idyllic and suited the pair beautifully. A cigar hung out his mouth as he chased his four year old daughter around the grounds.

Something old, something borrowed and something blue.

The something old being Beth and Adele's Grandmother's necklace that Ivana wore with her dress, the something borrowed was Beth's veil and the something blue was a surprise for Ivana tonight.

As traditional as a gay wedding could be.

Of course, even any upcoming weddings wouldn't be traditional either. It would be idiotic to even think that Adele would consider wearing a pure white gown.

It's not as if any of that mattered.

Ivana and Beth were happy as ever. In fact they're the least dysfunctional couple ever. Once Adele and Erich came back from Australia with the news of their engagement, Ivana and Beth were disappointed. In all honesty, they just wanted the best for Adele and in their eyes, Erich wasn't the best for her. They were protective but could you blame them? Their opinion eased once Adele told them what they really got up to during their trip, to be honest it's not as if they could hide it.

What happens in Australia, doesn't necessarily stay in Australia.

Adele said yes and then the unexpected happened.

Miss. Adelaide Blunt happened.

Fittingly named after the place of her conception, Adelaide was the perfect baby. Her eyes matched her mother's and so did her nature. She was quite the opposite of her half sister, Adelaide slept all night and smiled all day, there was never a reason for her to cry.

A little angel.

Erich and Adele's little angel. In fact she was also Cassidy's.

Surprisingly to Adele, Erich and Cindy, the first Miss. Blunt actually settled into the role of big sister very nicely. But it did take her a little while to realise that Adelaide can't be dragged around like one of her dollies.

The idea of Erich being a doting father and a soon to be husband baffled many people, even to this day it still baffles himself. He wonders how he ever got so lucky, it turns out that he always had been, he just didn't know how to appreciate it.

As for Adele, she never had to change. As a mother yes, as a lover no. Her biggest fear was ending up like her own mother, that wasn't going to happen and she was sure of it. Adele showers Adelaide with love and devotion, anything that she never got Adelaide gets.

Aside from turning into her junkie mother, Adele wasn't scared of being a Mom. She was scared of her own body. Adele only started to accept her curvy frame a few weeks before she fell pregnant and the idea of her body dramatically changing terrified her. Erich loved her pregnancy body, every day he would compliment her baby glow and that's what kept her going.

Cindy on the other hand was envious of Adele's baby journey, but that's as far as her jealousy would go. Why does Adele not get morning sickness? Why does she genuinely look happy? After a few weeks of self reflection, she put her thoughts aside when she started to finally feel happy with someone else. Sebastian - The captain of the cruise she worked on, at last Cindy had the happiness she craved and deserved. Although wary at first, Erich warmed to the idea of Sebastian potentially being Cassidy's step father.

Ones past doesn't define someone. In fact it can be used to show someones current disposition versus their previous, it's a way to see someones development. It is never something to be ashamed of, especially when half of the time no one can help what has happened to them.

The past should never be dawned on for too long either, it can be harmful and dangerous if you do that. Erich and Adele knew that best, why do you think that they no longer focus on it?

The future is powerful, and by God do they all know that.
