hours had past since your last league game, yet you were thinking about how you got completely fucked over by jungkook, the very well-known league player named le(jin)dary.
oh how much you despised that man. each game the two of you played with each other was filled with snarky comments and insults about how their champion was weaker compared to the other. his ego was so inflated, yet he was way too good for anyone to prove him wrong.
jungkook was notorious for his lengthy winning streak. it seemed like there was no end to it, having over 150 wins, all of which were ranked games. each and every twitch stream he hosted involved multiple wins and a call from you, insulting the shit out of him, wishing for his streak to end. it didn't tarnish his ego, though, as he just rubbed it into your face that he was much better than you.
the both of you were known to be enemies ever since you were put in a match against each other. jungkook was streaming at the time he killed you. you decided, in a fit of rage, to tweet your little angry heart out, which caught jungkook's attention.
he halted his gameplay, which was something he doesn't normally do, ever, to reply back to your tweet. jungkook's twitch chat went batshit, knowing jungkook to not be the type to stop playing his game for someone, heck even replying to a girl.
he replied with a simple "k" to your little rant about how league was rigged, stupid, and how jungkook was a bitch. this set you off even more, by the slightly passive aggressive tweet he replied.
you frustratedly took your anger to your best friend, namjoon, the only sensible gamer you had in your contacts. he calmed you down in a record time of 5 minutes.
jungkook thought it'd be fun to try to play another round with you, but as his teammate this time. he quickly sent you a dm, to which you shot back a quick "fuck off".
it took a long time to convince you to play on his team, especially on your own stream. you were too, well known, with a following of roughly 500K. this was measly compared to jungkook's 2M followers on twitch, yet was still big.
namjoon had always been on your team, whether playing ranked or normal. he played as malphite, while you; katarina. namjoon was a future engineer, meaning he didn't have the most amount of time on his hands. this resulted in you reluctantly accepting jungkook's offer to play with you.
