The planet they had landed on was uninhabited. Completely barren in every direction. All that could be seen was grey. Just grey rock rolling from horizon to horizon with nothing but a brown moss that creeped across the flat expanse. The atmosphere was mostly safe, the only issue being the unusually high amount of carbon. Short walks were all Obi-Wan could stand before turning lightheaded, Aedion and Ahsoka had only ventured out once since their landing, and they didn't dare expose the younglings.
He was on one of those walks when a streak of fiery light blared from the suffocating blur of grey sky and cloud. The comet's head was alive and streaking fire; at least he assumed it to be a comet until the nose tilted upward moments before impact, bringing what he now guessed to be a ship to a screeching halt. Black smoke billowed from the impact point, the smell already drifting toward Obi-Wan, mingling in his nose. He pulled his robe over his face, his head beginning to spin from the carbon atmosphere and now smoke.
The destroyed ship was too far to walk, so instead he turned and made a quick trot back toward their own. "Get the ship alive. Did you just see what came down?"
Ahsoka was already at the controls, coaxing the ship to life which left Aedion to answer. "Yeah, what was it? It looked almost like a ship." She frowned.
"That's what I thought too. Guess we'll just have to find out." A shrug.
The ship hummed with life, softly shaking as it rose from the ground, speeding dangerously low toward the clouds of smoke. The flames were soon visible but no figures, meaning they were most likely still trapped inside. "Open the hatch," he called out.
The hatch opened as they approached, about fifty yards away. He jumped, rolling on impact and on his feet again, running, only moments after. Five meters, three, two. The smoke was overwhelming, choking him after his dash, sending dots of black to cover his vision. The outline of two humanoid figures could be seen though. Neither moving, but both in range of his lightsaber to cut free.
The blade ignited, creating a halo of blue in the thick cloud, lighting his way. An uppercut to the still smoldering hull, peeling the metal back, then a sideways slash to scatter the scraps of fallen metal that blocked him from pulling them free. Grasping with the Force, he pulled the two unconscious figures from the decimating ship. He placed them on the ground, outside the range of smoke, waiting for Ahsoka to come around again so he could get them all onboard.
She did and he soon found himself, along with two strange others, laying, panting for breath, inside the small freighter. He felt the ship jolt as it landed and then Ahsoka was there, Aedion right behind. "Are you all right?" She cried, kneeling next to him.
He nodded. "Fine. . . just short. . . of breath. Go. . . see if you. . . can help them."
It was slow in returning, but soon he could manage a normal inhale and push himself into an upright position. He glanced over to where Ahsoka crouched over the unconscious figures. Both were covered in a splattering of blood, but Aedion had returned -Obi-Wan not having noticed her leave- with a plastic jug of water and strips of cloth. Ahsoka soon had them cleaned up, enough to see their features and where they had been wounded.
The female looked human enough, the only difference of species being the two brown curved horns atop her head and light green skin with four black diamonds on either side of her nose, so similar to Barriss Offee. The blue jumpsuit she wore was torn and burned in places from the heat of the ship's fires and wrecked structure. A deep purple arrow scarred the left side of her neck, it's head pointed toward her chin, the feathers toward her back. A small simple curved wave decorated above and below the shaft, each spotting two dots before and after. Her hair was worn short, straight stands matted against her forehead with blood and sweat.
