Finals

Kirishima's POV:

Bakugo reaches into his pocket and pulls his phone out. It is the first time he does so all night. As he turns it on his face changes and he looks shocked. "Damn Kirishima. It is 10 in the morning?"

"WHAT!" I scream. Is he being serious? Have we really been talking for over 16 hours? That is crazy. Ugh. Bakugo is so amazing and I am absolutely in love with him. I don't even care about our size difference anymore and he said he was going to stay at my house for basically all of Summer Break! But he also said that he has never found anyone attractive...that means me too. Ugh. I am so confused, but it's alright because I am fine with Bakugo being my friend. He is definitely my best friend in the whole world.

"Yeah I know, I didn't realize it was even morning. Well then let's go eat some breakfast. All we have had so far is chips and candy." Bakugo gets up from his bed and stretches.

The rest of the day is great. We go down to eat breakfast and then we play some video games and then he helps me study and I make sure to do better than yesterday because he is trusting me that I am going to be in the Top 10 of the class and I am going to make sure that I am.

I go to sleep in Bakugo's room again, this time we are actually sleeping and then the next few days are pretty normal. The only thing that changes is that Bakugo has become more talkative and is somehow even more amazing to be around. We take finals and Thursday, the last day of the semester we get back from our practical portion of the test (fighting robots) and are waiting for our results in class.

I am extremely nervous. I know I did good in the practical exam and I know during normal exams I did good, but I don't know if I did good enough to be in the Top 10. I look over to Bakugo and he turns to face me and he puts a thumbs up, which is a little reassuring. I hope that if I am not in the Top 10 he still comes over for Summer Break. Ugh.

Just then Mr. Aizawa walks in through the doors and everyone immediately goes silent, well the girls were the only ones talking to each other and they all went silent immediately.

"Okay class. Good job to everyone. I just want to say that at the bare minimum, no one failed either exam so good job. I am not going over all of your results individually so here are the rankings, I will pass out your individual scores afterwards." Mr. Aizawa clicks a button and a screen pops up with everyone's ranking.

I start going down the list, the butterflies in my stomach going absolutely crazy:

My heart slows down when I see my name. OH MY GOD! I actually made it in the Top 10. This is great. This is amazing, Bakugo is going to be so proud of me! I can't believe I actually did it! My heart starts racing again, but this time from excitement. I stand up in my chair and I scream out "Let's Gooooooooooo!" I can feel everyone staring at me, but I don't care. I am just so happy right now!

I look over to Bakugo and immediately fall off of my chair at the sight. It feels like I am in some alternate universe as I fall, but when Mr. Aizawa's capture tape wraps around me and safely brings me down to the floor, I am brought back to the normal universe.

The sight? It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen. I don't think I have ever seen something so beautiful before. I couldn't handle it. As I turned to look at Bakugo, my eyes fell onto his face. His smiling face. I don't think I have ever seen Bakugo smile before. It is just as amazing as I imagined it. It looked so precious and amazing and he looked so precious and amazing and I couldn't handle it, which is why I fell over.

I hear laughter, but Mr. Aizawa's voice rises above it, "Calm down Kirishima. You still have more to improve on."

I smile bigger, "Sorry Mr. Aizawa, I am just super happy that's all."

"Yes, you did significantly better than in your midterms, but that doesn't mean you can act recklessly. Sit down and wait for your scores like everyone else."

"Yes, sir." I say as I sit back down and look at the rest of the rankings:

Just as I finish reading the list Mr. Aizawa hands me back my personal results and it shows that I was ranked 5th in the practical exam and I got...a B! Holy crap! I almost never get a B and it was an 86% on top of that! I am so happy! I can't wait to show this to Bakugo! And I can't wait to show this to my mom. They are both going to be so proud of me! Hell Bakugo even smiled for the first time ever! This is amazing.

Mr. Aizawa, standing at the front of the classroom, once again, starts talking, "Okay now that you guys have your results you are free to go. Don't forget that you need to stay on top of your training. Next semester will not only be harder academic wise, but with your hero training as well, so don't go slacking off and I will see you all after the break."

Everyone immediately stands up and Kaminari turns around. "Dang, man! I can't believe you were 9th. I thought you were one of us!" He pretends to cry, "But actually good job bro. I am super happy for you!"

"Yeah me too Sharky! You did super good!" Mina says as she walks over to our little group, Sero already being there with us.

"Thanks, you guys. And you guys did good too!" I say back.

"Hahah. At least we passed." Sero says and Kaminari nods in agreement.

"Good job you idiot." Bakugo's voice is a little muffled because he is still a few feet away, but he makes his way over to us fairly quickly.

"Thanks man! Did you see I got 9th!"

"Yes. That is why I said good job!"

Mina pressed up against my desk, leaning closer to Bakugo, "Good job Blasty. You moved up too!"

"I should have done better. Even though I got first in the practical I got a 97% on the exam. I should have done better because I know that Ponytail got 100% and I am pretty sure she was second in the practical. Her canons are pretty destructive. I needed to do better." Bakugo says. There is no sign of him having ever smiled, but I could tell that he was happy for me, he was just holding it in around everyone else.

"Okay, not to be a buzzkill. But I will miss you guys during Summer Vacation. I know we will text and we for sure have to hangout too, but I will still miss you guys." Mina puts her bottom lip out in a fake pouting way.

Kaminari nods his head and begins to talk, "I know. I don't know how I am going to eat lunch without you guys there to talk to. Hahah but we will be texting so it is okay."

"Alright guys, group hug now and then one more before we leave the dorms!" Sero says as me, Mina, him, and Kaminari all hug each other.

I notice Bakugo not with us, "C'mon Bakugo, join our group hug!"

"I couldn't think of anything worse. I'm leaving." Bakugo turns and dodges Sero's tape that he shoots out to try and force Bakugo into a hug.

We all let go after a moment before leaving the classroom and heading to our dorms. Once we get back to our dorms we head our separate ways. I follow Bakugo into his room and he tells me how proud he is of me for getting 9th place and I hug him and he actually hugs me back. It is just soooo amazing and now he is going to be sleeping over like almost all of Summer Break. Today could not get any better.

After we have our moment, I go grab my stuff and we head downstairs before the Bakusquad (minus Bakugo) all hug another time before we leave the building and head home.

Me and Bakugo head to my house. My mom had said a couple days ago that he could stay over if he wanted to and I have been looking forward to it all week! And now I get to tell my mom that I got a B on the Finals and I placed 9th!
