Only You

The Mountain

Bakugo's POV:

We finally arrive at the base of the mountain and the whole walk here Kirishima didn't stop talking about how excited he was. Normally something like that would annoy me, but when it comes from Kirishima, it makes me happy for some reason.

I stop just at the trailhead and turn around, "Alright you ready to actually start our hike?"

"HECK YEAH MAN!" Kirishima enthusiastically says as he pushes me forward. We start up the trail. I usually go a little bit faster, but I want to enjoy the hike with Kirishima. He talks most of the way, like usual, and all I can think to myself is how I would want anyone else to shut up if they talked this much, but I don't want Kirishima to shut up. I actually want him to keep talking. I definitely think that I want to be around him even more than before. Ever since his talk with his mom, I can't help but think about hugging and kissing Kirishima. About holding him in my arms and falling asleep with him on top of me.

Every now and then we stop to drink some water and around 1 we make a pit stop.

I hear a river up ahead and a thought occurs to me, which makes me smirk, although Kirishima can't see me do so because he has been walking behind me the entire time. I turn my head and cut off his talking, "Hey, you hear that river right? Let's stop up there and eat lunch."

"Okay man! Sounds good to me! I am starving." Kirishima says as he grabs my left shoulder and starts to walk in front of me at a faster pace.

"Hey, if you can go faster, then we should have been doing so this entire time. I was going slow so you can keep up, but if you think you can pass me then by all means we will speed up."

Kirishima stops walking and I almost run into him, "Wait, no. I mean if you want to go faster we can, it's just I like the pace we are going at right now."

"Alright. And quit being a baby. I was just joking." I take off sprinting, "I'll beat you there." I scream back at him as he starts chasing me.

I reach the clearing with the river first and Kirishima catches up to me as I set down my backpack. I hear him panting pretty hard as he uses me to rest.

"Put your backpack down and come over here. I want to show you something." I walk over to the edge of the river. Kirishima comes over a second later and stands next to me.

"What did you want to show me?" Kirishima asks as we both look at the river.

"Yeah. That." I point to the middle of the river and turn to look at Kirishima. I see him crunch his face to try and see what I was pointing at. As he does so, I walk behind him and then I push him into the river.

Kirishima falls into the river and water splashes everywhere. I jump back trying to dodge it, but I still get hit by the splash. I start laughing. Kirishima pops up from the water, his head no longer spiky, but wet and hanging down over his face. He has a huge smile on his face and he jumps up out of the river screaming, "BAKUGO! I AM GOING TO GET YOU BACK FOR THIS!" He then charges at me and I run away and he chases me for about 5 minutes before catching up to me and bear hugging me. We are both laughing as I let him walk me over to the river and jump in with me in his arms.

The cool water hits my body and Kirishima let's go, both of us still laughing. I pop out of the water and shake the hair out of my face. As I do so, Kirishima pops up and we both begin laughing again. All of a sudden Kirishima stops laughing and looks at me wide eyed.

"What are you looking at you idiot?"

"It's just that I don't think I have ever heard you genuinely laugh at something."

"I laugh all the time you idiot!"

"Man, no you don't. I literally have spent the last few weeks with you and since the first day of starting at UA, you have never laughed while I was around. Sometimes you snicker at people, but that's not the same thing."
