When Namjoon woke up, Yoongi was still asleep, still chained to the bed.

Namjoon whimpered, holding the little dom tighter when he remembered why there were dried tear tracks on his cheeks.

He loved Yoongi, he just didn't want to risk letting him go. If Yoongi loved him too then why was he trying to leave?

Namjoon peeked up at the sleeping boy, still pressed against Yoongi's side.

Even asleep, the dom radiated comfort and kindness, something Namjoon never got enough of back home or in school.

It wasn't selfish...Namjoon totally deserved to have someone like Yoongi in his life. A-and Yoongi even said it himself that he would do anything for Namjoon!

So... why not this?

Sure, Yoongi had never expected to lose the bet, so maybe he just needed some time to adjust to this new life.

He said he loved Namjoon, and Namjoon loved him.

They could still be happy together.

Even with these chains.

Namjoon shuffled up higher on the bed, so he could share the pillow with Yoongi, getting as close as possible to the boy as he could. He inhaled the doms familiar cologne, and relaxed some.

Yoongi shifted underneath him, waking up from the sudden weight on him.

"Good morning!" Namjoon was excited to see him awake. "Wanna have breakfast together?"

Yoongi gave him a cold look and tugged on his bound arms, making the chains rattle. "You gunna let me go?"

Namjoon shook his head. "I'll make something for us and bring it up here and we can eat together!"

Yoongi scoffed and looked away. "Pass."

Namjoon frowned, hurt. "Yoongi...please don't."

"Don't what?" Yoongi snapped. "Be angry at what you're doing? How could I not?! You're ruining the beautiful relationship I wanted to have with you!"

Namjoon froze at the past tense. "What...do you mean?"

Yoongi looked away again. "I don't want to talk to you. Just get out of here."

Namjoon stared at the dom, shocked and hurt.

He scrambled off the bed. "Fine! Then stay here and rot!"

He raced out the door and slammed it behind him.

Running down the hall, he grabbed his own car keys and hurried to his car, sliding inside.

Shoving the key into the ignition, he angrily wiped away tears as he drove away.

-

It had been so long since he had been back at his parents house, and while they yelled at him, demanding answers for why he was skipping school and where he had been, he ignored them and locked himself in his room to have some privacy.

He looked around, but everything reminded him of Yoongi.

The desk where he sat at when he first wrote up his version of the contract.

The computer, where he and Yoongi video called numerous times.

He sat down on the floor, leaning against his bed as he stared at nothing, thinking.

He needed some tea.

Turning around, he pulled out the picnic basket Yoongi had gifted him, and his breath caught when he remembered the day Yoongi surprised him for his birthday.

"You're nineteen now. Almost an adult, but still a baby." Yoongi said. "It's important to celebrate achievements."

"Wha...how..." Namjoon stared.

"Your friends let it slip. You shouldn't shy away from your birthday, baby. It's an important day. The day the universe decided it needed you. It should be celebrated and you should be appreciated."

That day had been his favorite day ever, rivaled only by the day Yoongi found out his secret and instead of being disgusted and turned off by him, held him close and loved him.

The Yoongi who cared for him before Namjoon won the bet was a total different Yoongi than the one that Namjoon had left chained to the bed back home.

Namjoon wanted the old Yoongi.

And he knew what he had to do to get him back.

Picking up the gift, Namjoon ran out.

-

Yoongi had given up struggling with the chains ages ago, since they dug into his skin. There was supposed to be a protective fuzz strap on the inside to protect the rope bunny's wrists and ankles, but Namjoon, a sub, hadn't known about them and therefore hadn't applied them.

Yoongi didn't know what had changed. It was like as soon as the judge ended the bet, his cute little baby had turned into a monster.

Hadn't Yoongi done enough to show Namjoon that he loved him? That he wasn't going to ever leave him?

What-

The door opened, and Yoongi saw Namjoon shuffling in, holding a familiar box.

"Hey." Namjoon walked over and sat on the edge of the bed. "Can we talk?"

Yoongi just looked at him, not sure yet.

Namjoon held up the picnic basket, a fond smile on his face as he rifled through the meaningful items inside.

"Thank you again for this. That was the best birthday I've ever had."

Yoongi's heart pounded with hope. It sounded like Namjoon was coming to his senses but he didn't want to jinx anything, so he stayed silent.

Namjoon sighed. "Yoongi...I'm sorry. I know what I did wasn't right, and I made you mad at me which is the last thing I ever wanted. I just...when I heard I won the bet and suddenly inherited all that power...I felt security. I knew you would never leave me, but now I also had a way to ensure that. And I let it get to my head and ruin everything. I was just...so scared."

He pulled out the little gold key and Yoongi watched with a happy smile as he unchained him.

Namjoon sat back, fidding with his hands in his lap. "I'm really sorry. I trust you, Yoongi."

Yoongi threw himself at the student, startling him.

"Yoon-!"

"I'm so proud of you, baby." Yoongi kissed the boys face all over, fully on top of the student. "I knew you would come around, my smart baby."

Namjoon smiled, finally feeling the pure happiness that only came when he was with Yoongi.

He hugged the dom tightly.

"Tomorrow we will go down to the courthouse to redraw a new contract." He promised. "But for today, can we just spend time together?"

Yoongi smiled as he sat up.

"Of course, baby. Dom will always be here for his baby."
