YOUNG YEARS ~

DAEGU

Author pov:

"Papa, don't please" the young girl cried looking through her glazed eyes at the limp figure lying on the floor.

The room the small family was in felt eerie as the only sounds were the mellow whimpers of the child and her mother. While her father's ragged breathing played a scary background music to the scene. The chamber was styled in ancient french and the royal blue and gold wallpaper held tiny golden flowers and creepers styling the four walls of the room.

"Please let her go" the female on the floor begged. To no awhile as the guy stood on all his ancient glory. A red button up shirt and velvet vest lining his youthful body. His face however as the ten year old saw was faking happiness as he smirked at the woman, a whip hanging deadly on his grip.

Another thrash echoed through the room yet only a feeble cry escaped the mouth of the lady. The furniture was mediaeval fashioned strong and magestic as it stood a twelve seating table, the older woman had one of her legs tied to it, as she squirmed in pain.

"mother no..." the ten-year-old ran to her mother and tried shaking her. With no response coming from the female, the little girl cupped her mother's bloody face in her tiny hands. To her, her mother was pretty even though terribly hurt she in her twenties, her scars dried up and dirt smeared. The girl wanted nothing but to wipe her clean along with the frown that etched her features. Tears streamed down the younger ones face as she wept in small inaudible sobs.

"mom please wake up stay with me please stay... Wake... Up" the girl uttering her pleas like hymn let a high-pitched shriek escape her mouth as the spiked whip landed hard on her back, the force made her fall a few feet away from her mother.

It was the loudest she had ever screamed in her life yet.

The women's motherly instincts shot up and she mustered up all the energy that was left in her and shouted out, "YUAN RUN, RUN AWAY FROM HERE, I am telling u to obey me run away." She knew in all that pain that her husband had lost it, lost his sanity. His humanity that had succumbed to the greed and list for money and power. He was violent and all she could do was let her daughter go just to be alive and breathing.

Yuan's flight instincts got the better of her. She crawled in the direction of the door griping the handling hard till her tiny knuckles turned white. yuan got up slowly and turned around to take in one last glance at the man who was, unfortunately, the sole reason for her existence.

Her soft and tired features morphed into one cold glare that coming from a mere ten year old surprised the man standing at a distance seeing her struggle to stand on her feet. little did he notice that she had no trouble bear the pain he had inflicted just a few minutes back.

Yuan gathered all the strength she had and ran down the stairs and out of the sickening mansion as fast as she could.

Ten years of living in the mansion and it wasn't hard for her to understand this was the last time she walked around this place. It was painful to have to run and leave behind her mother, the only human who gave her love. Was it even love she doubted for a second as her feet led her out through the long corridors.

Her sundress was soaked with blood from the wound on the back and her mother's blood. By the time she reached the huge gates that separated her home and the outer, her body had turned numb and cold from all the blood loss but she made it through into the world she thought would save her from the cruelty she faced inside the house.

Oh how wrong she was...

"You sure she is the one?"

"Yeah she is the one in the picture, Mr. Kim specified that we keep her alive."

"Well he never said anything about how she stayed alive." The guy smirked at his pen reply ad the friends walked slowly following the ten year old walking a few feet in front, cold and shivering in the rain. Her clothes drenched and wounds washed away by the rain. Her skin pale and soaked in the downpour, it seemed a miracle as to how she lived through to meet her only light in life.
