"Stop it!" I giggled, Aeron tugging on my hand to pull me back into bed. "I'm so weak I can barely move. I need to..." I trail off sparing him the gory details.

"You being weak means it's harder for you to resist me." He says blatantly.

"I talked to my dad about the hair." I say. "He says there was no hair."

"Ah...he probably just doesn't remember." Aeron lets go off my hand. I pull on a shirt, pants and coat.

"Yeah...maybe." But I know my dad doesn't forget anything. There's definitely something Aeron isn't telling me, and that bothers me. Actually I can't even look at him. He's scaring me, so I keep pretending to trust him. "I really need to go, I think you should too."

"Semira...just come in the bed, and I'll feed all of your desires." He smirks at his clever line.

"You know you can't do that..." I resist. "We're the same. I'm immune to you."

"More like I'm immune to you..." He grins. His perfectly white teeth are revealed for what seems like the first time. I don't think I've ever seen him smile, maybe the first time we met but I don't remember. I walk over to my door and look back. He's climbing out of bed, finally and pulling on his pants.

As I walk out into the frosty air of NYC nearing Christmas, snow begins to fall. I pull on my hood and  observe my surroundings. Since my house is somewhat secluded from the rest of Manhattan, I walk quite a distance before shops, parks, and taxi's make their appearances. I walk around a corner and a familiar laugh hits me like a thunder bolt. It's Stephanie...and a man. My stomach drops when I look at his face. I duck back behind the corner so they don't see me. They are getting closer and closer with each step and I'm able to hear their conversation.

"Yeah...My mom is crazy. Last Thanksgiving she pointed out to my entire family that I needed to get on a diet. Some people talk about pier pressure, but that was family pressure and it caused me to drop 50 pounds..." She brags. She loves telling that story.

"Well...you look fantastic." He says and she giggles sheepishly. Then suddenly their voices disappear, and I figure they have ducked into a store. I peak around the corner and then approach the store cautiously. Slowly walking, I investigate the store's layout. Luckily it's a book store, so I'll be able to get in and hide myself quiet easily. I'll just have to pray, they don't recognize my body, because no book will be large enough to cover it. I slowly open the door and scurry to an aisle next to them.

"So...tell me about your friends." He says not so slyly. Coincidence he's into my best friend? I think not.

"Well, I just have one. Her name is Semira..." I blush, but then hear their footsteps approaching me, pounding in my head. Beads of form on my forehead and I quickly grab a book and cover my face with it as they round the corner. I casually move to the next row. They babble on and on and then seem to be coming closer and closer. When I reach the end of all the aisles I am forced to casually, again, walk out of the store, or I will be noticed. So I do.

As I am about to reach the door the lady at the counter makes me jump, "Ma'am, you need to pay for that book." She says and I realize that I have been holding the book in front of my face, this entire time. All of the eyes of the store go on me. Shit.

"Omigosh! Semira!" Stephanie waddles over to me, in high heels that are way too high for her. She has his arm linked in hers. It was definitely the guy who I figure poisoned me. "This is Cameron."

"Cameron. I finally know your name." I laugh to myself.

"Wait...you know him? Oh god...he's not one of your ex's is he?" She asks innocently.

"Ha- never."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I ask.

"We used to work together." He changes the subject.

"You had a job?" Stephanie asks me.

"Errya a while back." I said.

"Where?"

"Coffee shop.""Book store." We both responded at the same time.

"Well actually," He starts "we worked at a coffe shop that had a book store attached to it." He saves us.

"Hmmm..." I know she's trying to understand why this conversation is suspicious.

"Well... I was just leaving." I say. My mind start searching for the root of why he might be with her. Maybe to get information about me? What is this revenge? Why did my parents kill his? I never asked my dad that, but I did intend to. It just felt like a wrong accusation after he told me about his Secret Society. Then it hit me: he was trying to get revenge because his parents used to be affiliated with the Secret Society... "Steph, why don't you come with me, we can go shopping or get our nails done or something..."

"I'm with Cameron right now. Maybe later, kay? I don't want to be rude." She gives me a look. Worry floods over me. He's already manipulating her.

"Yeah, Semira. I won't hurt her." He gives me a nasty, sick smirk.

I lean in to him, and whisper really soft near his ear, "If you ever so much as think of hurting her, I will come and find you, pump you will adrenaline, and cut your balls off. Then record your screams so when I'm sad I can replay them to myself to cheer me up. Is that understood?"

"Confident. I like it." He whispers back.

"Shut up." I punch him teasingly on the shouler to make it look like we were whispering about nothing, but I can see the expression on Stephanie's face: she doesn't believe it. "Bye now." I kiss her on the cheek, but she doesn't return it. Instead she gives me a look of confusion and warning. Then I realize what has been staring me in the face: she's in love with him.
