"Semira?!" I hear Aeron's voice in the hallway.
"Aeron!" I run out of my dad's office and give him a big hug. "You'll never believe what's been going on."
"I do. I have terrible news..." He says grimly, "Is this girl your friend?" He holds up a picture of Stephanie laying on the floor of some room, a pool of blood near her.
"Omigod." I breath clutching the picture tightly in my hand. I drop to my knees. "She's dead?" I whisper.
"Cummon. You need to come with me." Aeron says tugging on my arm. "I need to hide you."
"Where-Where are we going." I stutter because of shock. "I knew he was going to hurt her. Cameron..." Sudden, like I was zapped with electricity, anger floods through me. "I'm gonna kill him." I cry out. "I'm gonna kill him!"
All this time Aeron has been pulling me into a car and fastening my seatbelt. When he plugs the keys in the car and starts the engine, he punched down on the gas, and we speed away.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"Shut up, would you?" He says. I'm stunned.
"What?" I ask.
"I said to shut up! I swear I will kill you too if you don't just shut up. Pass me that bottle." He says. I pass him a bottle of pills and he opens it and tosses four or five in his mouth. I tried to get a glimse of the bottle but couldn't tell what is was, but now I know he's a druggy!
"I should have known it was you..." I whisper. "What about that other guy?"
"The screwup who doesn't understand how this plan was supposed to work? Well, we're on our way to see him right now."
