Good byes

"Guys this is so sad,"  Jimin said while dragging his suit case to his trunk. "I'm gonna miss you guys so much. I hope we can get together every once in a while...but I know how busy you all are."

Jeongguk nodded tiredly. He would miss this too. But he can't wait to sleep in his own bed after all the tossing and turning he did last night, barely getting a wink of sleep.

"You can visit my restaurant any time! I'll get you guys discounts," Seokjin promised, putting his own suitcase away.

Everyone had grabbed breakfast bars while packing up their stuff, a pot of coffee being brewed for those who would need it to stay awake on the drive.

Now, everyone finished loading their luggage in the cars, stood lingering around, not sure how to say good bye. Jeongguk looked at Tae and saw his eyes were already on him. For the first time in his life, Jeongguk wasn't sure he could read him. He was probably just tired, he thought. He probably went to bed really late last night with the rest.

"How the frick are we supposed to say goodbye?" Hobi said. "I don't want to," he pouted. Namjoon came over to him and wrapped his arms around his chest, holding him from behind.

"Why don't we just all hug and promise to meet again next week? Hm?" Namjoon suggested. A good one at that, except Jeongguk would be back at work next week. No time to hang out with friends.

"That sounds great!" Taehyung smiled, walking up to Jin and being the first to initiate good byes.

From there they all hugged. Jimin hugging him tight, encouraging. Hobi squeezing the air out of him and nearly lifting him off of his feet. He and Yoongi shared the classic bro hug, each clapping the other on the back, and then it was just Tae. Some had started going towards their cars, most likely giving them room to say good bye, although Jeongguk wasn't sure why.

Taehyung sighed, that same unreadable expression on his face. Jeongguk could see there was something on his mind, but in a matter of seconds that face was replaced with a smile. The smile he loved, the one that told him nothing was wrong. He opened his arms to wrap Jeongguk in a hug, the younger immediately hugging back, resting his chin on his shoulder.

"I'll miss you," Jeongguk whispered. "Thanks for talking to me this weekend, you really helped...a lot." Reluctantly, he pulled back to take a look at his face.

"I'll miss you too," he whispered, even though no one else was there to hear them, all standing by their cars and sharing final words.

Before Jeongguk could think about walking over to Namjoon and Jin, Tae was reaching in his bag, hesitantly pulling something out before handing it to Jeongguk. "Good bye," he said softly, heading towards Jimin's car and getting in.

Walking over to Namjoon and Seokjin, they said their final goodbyes to Hobi before climbing in the car. The two oldest in the front, Jeongguk sitting in the back. Getting buckled, the boy finally looked down at what Taehyung had handed him as they pulled onto the path.

It was a white envelope, his name scribbled neatly on the front.
