Chapter 9: Baby Shower Disaster

The month has passed, River Rose is six months pregnant of Ricardo's baby and she feels so happy to be a mom for the first time. Ricardo came over to see River Rose and River Rose felt the baby. Ricardo came over to River Rose and he wraps his arms around River Rose's pregnant stomach. River Rose said, "Hey dork." Ricardo said, "You miss me." River Rose said, "I think you're talking to our son not me." Ricardo said, "Hey." River Rose said, "You dorky butt." Ricardo playfully growls and River Rose smiles. Stella came in and said, "Ricky, you are so weird." Ricardo said, "Not really and I think Riv decided to be a momma." River Rose said, "I know and our son is happy." Ricardo said, "I know and I think he really wants us." River Rose said, "I guess I have to do all of the work." Ricardo said, "Love, I'll handle it." River Rose said, "I just can't." Ricardo said, "Riv, I won't let you do this by yourself." River Rose said, "I have to and I'm the only reason to raise our son alone." Ricardo said, "Riv, you have to let me help you." Stella said, "Riv, Ricky is the baby's dad and you have to let him help you. You will be in a mess and overworked by having your grades to drop." River Rose said, "Mom was like that when she had you and I probably would do the same." Ricardo said, "River Rose Marie Margaret, you are not going to do that to yourself and you are better than that. I'm going to help you with our son whether you like it or not and he's my son. I'm not going to walk out of my son's life like that and never be there for him. I will do anything to help you even though we're exes but I will help you and our son." River Rose said, "Ricky, I -" Ricardo said, "No. You are not going to suggest anything like that to me and I know that you want to do this on your own but you don't know how. I want you to know that our son needs us to help him and that's why I'm going to help you." River Rose said, "I never get anything right anymore." Stella said, "Riv, you need to have a break." Ricardo said, "C'mon baby girl." Ricardo helps River Rose to her bed and River Rose lay down. River Rose has never been in this kind of stress in her life and Stella asked, "Are you coming, Ricardo?" Ricardo said, "No I'm fine." Stella said, "Okay." Stella walks out of River Rose's bedroom and she shuts the door. River Rose said, "Ricky, I just don't know how this stressed really got me." Ricardo said, "Babe, I know that this stress really got you because you need to calm down and relax." River Rose asked, "Why are you the best ex boyfriend that ever says that to me?" Ricardo said, "I think it's because I wanted you and our son." River Rose said, "You're not mad me for anything." Ricardo said, "No because I wanted you to let me help you with our son and you're gonna need an extra hand for help." River Rose said, "At least we know that our son is ready to be here in three months." Ricardo said, "That's our baby boy." The next day came by, River Rose is looking at the crib for her son to arrived and Ricardo came over to River Rose. Ricardo wraps his arms around River Rose's pregnant belly and Ricardo said, "You love the crib for our son." River Rose said, "I love it and I think he'll love his favorite toys." Ricardo said, "Yeah I know and I want him." River Rose said, "He's mine." Ricardo playfully growls and Marissa came in to River Rose's bedroom. Nikki and Jessica came in to River Rose's bedroom. Nikki said, "Now Marissa learn to be nice to River and stop faking of your niceness." Ricardo asked, "What is she doing here?" Jessica said, "Your parents told Marissa to come over to River's house and get along with River." Ricardo said, "At least you know that River is having a boy." Nikki said, "Yay." Jessica said, "Congrats bestie." River Rose said, "Thanks bestie." Ricardo said, "Thanks girls." Marissa asked, "Since when you two are friends with River?" Nikki said, "We've been friends with her since middle school." River Rose said, "Yeah and you took over in our freshmen year." Marissa said, "You have to face it that no one -" Jessica said, "No Marissa, you clearly told everyone in high school like almost two years ago that you were rich and popular." Ricardo said, "Marissa Ashlyn, that's the most dumbest idea that you ever announced in the school like that and you know that's a lie that we're not rich." Marissa asked, "Why can I ever get my ways for once?" Ricardo said, "Because Marissa, you always say River wasn't my type and you clearly destroyed our relationship. You are screwing everything up by lying to everyone and putting hate on River. You have got to stop putting hate on River and revenges is involved with getting into trouble." Stella, Marisol, Maya, Lucas, Drake, and Tracy went upstairs to River Rose's bedroom. Marissa said, "I'm not going to get in trouble and you never gave me one chance to start something that I should've done a long time ago." Nikki said, "Uh uh Marissa, you need to stop with everything or else you're going to get in trouble. We try to help you but you seem to think you can gamble more and more until all of the money goes away." Tracy said, "That's right and you know that River is trying to be nice to you." Drake said, "Yeah and my girlfriend doesn't deserve to be hurt." Lucas said, "All of your nonsense crap that you're pulling is nothing but putting River down by causing you to get out of things." Maya said, "That's very cold, Marissa." Marissa said, "It's not fair." River Rose said, "Of course it's not and you clearly made all possible for you to put more revenges on me." Marisol asked, "Is that the only PR move that you got, Marissa?" Marissa said, "No but I will continued on making more revenges and I will ruled the high school." Nikki said, "That's it, Marissa. We're not going with you anymore and we're done." Ricardo said, "I told you, Marissa. You always make things worse and I knew you are not that smart enough to learn how to stop." Tracy said, "Keep on gambling, Marissa and you think everyone will by your dumb story for the writing contest. I don't think so." Marissa asked, "How did you know about my story?" Nikki said, "We told them while River stayed home because of her left leg and you know that you lied in your story that you're rich." Ricardo said, "Keep it up, Marissa." Drake said, "This isn't you anymore and you know how much people would never believe you from your story at the writing contest. The story that you wrote is about you being rich, popular, revenges, stealing boyfriends from their girlfriends, and also my girlfriend." Ricardo asked, "Why are you doing this, Marissa?" Stella said, "You're not rich and popular at all." Marissa said, "I am popular and everyone says I am." River Rose said, "No Marissa, they said you are popular of failing grades and getting into trouble." Jessica said, "We told you." Tracy said, "See Marissa, you just need to lay off of River and you can't get what you wanted." Ricardo said, "Ever since River is pregnant of my baby, I always wanted to be a dad and this is my chance to have a son for anything." Marissa said, "You just don't want to date nobody because you just want to stay with River." Ricardo said, "Marissa, I never said that I will stay with River and I already told her parents and our parents that it was alright for me to visit my son. They already agreed so shut your mouth and stop putting us through hell while I have to keep you away from us and your nephew." Marisol said, "Marissa, just stop." Maya said, "You're the real reason why you don't want Ricardo visit his son and you can't do that." Lucas said, "It's his son and he's the father. You know that Ricardo has to pay child support and he can visit his son whatever he wants to. He's not going to walk out on his son's life like that and you think this is how you are with your twin brother." Marissa said, "You don't get it because Ricardo is lucky to get his ex pregnant while my ex is not leaving her." Drake said, "I do get it because Ricardo didn't know that we were getting back together and it's not his fault. I won't leave River because I'm in love with her." Marissa asked, "How come she kiss Ricardo?" River Rose asked, "What are you talking about?" Stella asked, "Wait, did you?" Ricardo said, "Marissa Ashlyn, mind your own beeswax for once." Drake said, "Babe, you kiss Ricardo behind my back." River Rose said, "Sweetie, I'm sorry and I've been stressed since I got pregnant. I just don't want to lose you." Drake asked, "Then why would you kiss Ricardo?" Ricardo said, "I just can't help it, Drake and I just feel more down. I'm sorry for kissing River." Drake said, "You know that it's wrong to kiss your ex which is my girlfriend." River Rose said, "I'm sure he didn't mean it and he kiss me by mistake. He was supposed to kiss my cheek." Drake said, "As long it's a mistake then we're good." Ricardo said, "Yeah it was a mistake and I'm sure I didn't mean it." Stella said, "Yeah." Maya said, "We're good." Nikki said, "Yeah Marissa." Jessica said, "Just stop being a gossip queen and learn to shut up." Marissa said, "You know that you two are lying." Ricardo said, "Marissa, we're not lying and you're the only one whose lying." Marissa said. "Ricky, you are not getting away with this and you're a liar like River. You just kiss River and you don't dare to escape anything out of things." Ricardo said, "I'm not lying." River Rose said, "Just stop." Marissa said, "River, you think you can keep on hiding everything from Drake and I'm sure that you're enjoying that." Lucas said, "That's enough Marissa." Tracy said, "Stop saying something like that to them. You are the only one who needs to stop lying and quit messing with them." Stella said, "It's like you're living with this whole Deja vu in you for repeating everything and honestly, you need to stop being a drama queen and get along with my little sister and your twin brother." Marisol said, "Yeah and nobody wants to be your friend because they're scared of you." Ricardo said, "Nice going, Marissa." Marissa said, "You just want me to listen to every single one of you." Lucas said, "C'mon Marissa, just stop with everything and get along with River." Marissa said, "No. I want River to stay away from my brother and our house. This is why I have a problem with River and I don't want to be friends with her. I wanted my brother date someone else." Ricardo said, "You ever say something like that to River again, you will be in trouble forever and I swear to God that you are so mean to her." Nikki said, "See Marissa, you just want to overthrown River by taking charge of the school and you are not even popular at all." Marissa said, "Yes I am and River wasn't supposed to date my brother." River Rose said, "Your brother didn't want Savannah nor he didn't want Samantha." Ricardo said, "You set me up with them and that's why River got her feelings hurt. I hope you think this is funny to you but for us, we don't." Marissa said, "You even push River down and you, you even slap my brother in the face. Well you know what, I will do one for you like you did to Ricky and come here." River Rose said, "No." River Rose hugs Ricardo and Drake said, "No you won't." Marissa tried to walk over to River Rose and Drake blocks her. Ricardo said, "You're scaring River like this and that's why she told me after what you did." Marissa stops walking and said, "No I didn't." Drake asked, "Did you slap River in the face?" Marissa said, "No." Marisol said, "Liar." Stella said, "You slap River in the face and you are so mean." Lucas asked, "What the hell is wrong with you?" Marissa said, "I didn't slap her." Ricardo said, "Yes you did and River told me what you did to her. I don't know why you want to lie about everything." Marissa said, "I'm not lying." Tracy said, "Yes you are and you can't hide everything from us." Maya said, "Tell the truth right now." The parents came upstairs to River Rose's bedroom and Jessica said, "Because Marissa, you will be losing us forever and you know that you did hurt River. By the way Ricardo, River also told us about the plan for getting rid of her and Marissa is trying to hook up with Cole but she wanted him to date River so she can have Drake back. But, Marissa wanted to start off with a revenge plan and thinking she can be popular than River." Drew asked, "So Marissa, are you really going to hurt River?" Ricardo said, "Hey. Dad." Marissa slowly turns around she looks at the parents with anger. Caroline asked, "Are you seriously going to kill my daughter?" Marissa said, "I-" Jocelyn said, "Marissa Ashlyn, you really think you can hurt River Rose and she hasn't done anything to you." Marissa said, "You guys don't know the whole story." Oliver said, "You shouldn't be putting River in a bad place and you know that you can get in trouble for this." Artie said, "I think you should be punished, young lady." Jessica said, "Go on, tell us." Marissa said, "Fine. I did hurt River." Elizabeth asked, "Why?" Marissa said, "Because I'm jealous of her for having a baby and a boyfriend. I wanted to be like her but it's not fair." River Rose asked, "But why would you want to get rid of me?" Marissa said, "It's because you have more friends than me and you're popular not me. You get all of the attention with other guys but not me and you loved my twin brother because you two were too busy being all cozy with each other. I don't get anything." Nikki said, "You should've said something but it's too late." Ricardo said, "Marissa, you are pure evil for putting my ex through hell and I don't know what to say about you as my twin sister." Drake said, "I hope this is funny to you. Go ahead and laugh." Marissa isn't laughing at all and Jessica said, "So I guess you don't think it's funny." Maya said, "Marissa, you are going to get disqualified from your story at the writing contest." Marissa said, "You think this is all you guys got from me." Lucas said, "You're not starting anything." Drake said, "You don't even dare to try to think you can pull anything on us." Drew said, "Ricardo, meet us when you get home and let's go Marissa. You can say goodbye to your friends because you will not be seeing them again and you will staying away from them." Marissa said, "But Mom." Jocelyn said, "Dad is right and you will be staying in your room while you do your homework. I can't believe that you have something to hide from us and I honestly don't know why you would do such a thing to River. River is a real sweetheart like her older sister and I don't know why you want to hurt her." Marissa said, "You don't know the whole story." Caroline said, "Oh yes we do and we saw the whole thing on Facebook. I don't think you can get out of things." Marissa said, "I don't know why everyone is taking on River's side." Drew said, "Well from your attitude has got to stop and you need to stop as well." Marissa said, "But I just don't want River to hang out with my brother." Ricardo said, "Marissa, I'm allowed to hang out with my ex like I told you and I'm not going to leave my son out of my life. I have to help River whether you like it or not. I bet you don't care about your nephew whose coming in three more months." Nikki said, "Yeah and Ricky Jr is your nephew." Marissa said, "I don't care and I just don't want to see him." Stella said, "That's so rude." Jocelyn said, "Marissa Ashlyn, you are going to see your nephew at the hospital and you will not do this again." Ricardo said, "Yeah Marissa and River is going to be a great mom." River Rose said, "You're so sweet." Marisol said, "Just to say this Mrs. Anderson, I would keep an eye on Marissa because she just made a horrible story for the writing contest about saying rich and popular." Drew asked, "Is there you would like to say about your story, Marissa?" Marissa said, "I want to because we're rich." Jocelyn said, "We're not rich and this is why we bought expensive stuff but we're not rich." Ricardo said, "I told you." Marissa said, "You all suck." Drew said, "That's it, young lady. You're grounded." Marissa said, "No." Jocelyn said, "Marissa Ashlyn, you are grounded for treating River Rose awful and everyone else. You even ruined their baby shower party because of your mouth and lied about your story." Marissa said, "But -" Drew said, "No buts, Marissa. We're going home and Ricardo, meet us at the house." Ricardo said, "I will Dad." Drew and Jocelyn took Marissa home. Ricardo said, "It's okay, River." River Rose let go of the hug and River Rose said, "Ricky, you mean that you wasn't mad at me for everything." Ricardo said, "I was but and again, I knew I wasn't mad at you." River Rose asked, "Why did you push me down for?" Ricardo said, "I felt hurt all of the same time and I didn't mean to push you down. I'm sorry." River Rose said, "And I'm sorry too for giving you a face slap." Ricardo said, "Don't be sorry, Riv and I deserve it because I didn't know what I was thinking." Stella said, "I can't believe that you deserve it." Ricardo said, "It's okay for the best." River Rose said, "I guess we're better as friends." Ricardo said, "Yeah and we have our son to be here in three more months." River Rose said, "Yeah." Drake said, "Oh and baby girl." River Rose said, "Yes sweetie." Drake said, "Tracy and I won't be here." River Rose asked, "Where are you guys going?" Tracy said, "We're going to our family reunion and we don't want Marissa to find out." Nikki said, "Yeah and we'll tell her that you guys are going on a business trip." Oliver said, "Thank you guys." River Rose asked, "When will you guys be back?" Tracy said, "We're coming back in July before school starts." Drake said, "We better get going." River Rose said, "Bye sweetie." Drake said, "Ricardo, please take care of River while I'm gone." Ricardo said, "You got it." Drake kiss River Rose so much and he pulls away. He hugs River Rose and River Rose hugs Drake. River Rose said, "I'll miss you baby." Drake said, "I'll miss you too gorgeous." Drake pulls away from the hug and he hugs Ricardo. Ricardo hugs Drake and said, "Don't worry about us, we'll be fine." Drake pulls away from the hug and said, "Okay but make sure you don't tell Marissa." Ricardo said, "Cross my heart." Tracy hugs Ricardo and River Rose. River Rose said, "Bye Tracy." Tracy said, "Bye guys, I'll miss you." Ricardo said, "We'll miss you too." Tracy pulls away from the hug and she and Drake walks out of River Rose's bedroom with Oliver and Sandy. Stella asked, "What do we want to do?" River Rose said, "I don't know." Ricardo said, "Riv, you always been the one who knows exactly what we want to do." River Rose said, "I don't want to." Marisol said, "Riv, you just feel so down since Drake and Tracy left." River Rose said, "I just don't want to do anything." Elizabeth said, "I'm sure that you'll find something." Caroline said, "We'll go downstairs for some coffee." Artie said, "Sounds good to me." The parents walks out of the bedroom and went downstairs. Nikki said, "We better go and thank you guys so much for inviting us to the party." Jessica said, "Congrats for having a boy." River Rose said, "Thanks." Ricardo said, "Thanks girls." Nikki and Jessica went to go home. Marisol said, "We better go watch a movie at the theater." Stella said, "See ya little munchkin." River Rose said, "See ya." Stella and Marisol walks out of the bedroom. They went to go to movie theater and Maya said, "We better go." Lucas said, "See you guys." River Rose said, "See ya." Ricardo said, "Bye guys." Lucas and Maya walks out of the bedroom. They went to go home and Ricardo shuts the door. River Rose sat down on the bed and she felt really different. Ricardo came over to River Rose and he sat down right next to her. Ricardo said, "Baby girl, you feeling alright." River Rose said, "Ricky, I think this is so weird without Drake." Ricardo said, "I know but I think you know that I'm still in love with you." River Rose said, "I know Ricky but I just don't know why I have to cheat on him." Ricardo said, "Baby, we have to keep this secret and I know that we're lying to them. I just don't want to lose you forever and I can't go on by dating another girl who isn't like you." River Rose said, "You mean that you didn't want another girlfriend." Ricardo said, "No. I only wanted you and this is why I wanted you so we can have a family." River Rose said, "Oh Ricky." Ricardo said, "It's all I ever wanted with you and I guess Drake wanted to have kids with you because you're with him not me." River Rose said, "Ricky, I'm sorry and I didn't know that you really wanted to have a family with me." Ricardo said, "It's all I wanted and I feel like I screwed it up for keeping my damn mouth shut." River Rose said, "It's all my fault for losing you." Ricardo said, "Baby, it's not your fault." River Rose said, "Well I must've been, Ricky and I don't know how I keep on making myself to lose you in my life." Ricardo said, "Honey pie, you don't deserve this and it's not your fault. I don't want you to feel this way because I never thought of you for being a bad girlfriend. You and I both shared a memory together from our first date until now, we're parents." River Rose said, "I did it again." Ricardo said, "Baby girl, it's going to be alright." Ricardo hugs River Rose and River Rose hugs Ricardo so much. River Rose snuggles Ricardo's jacket and Ricardo smiles.
