The Pretty Little Ring

AN: Hiiiii! This is a Forbidden Cities Sophfitz oneshot I wrote a while ago. I will be writing a variety of ships in the future, but the only semi-good oneshot that I have written that I could publish rn is this Sophfitz one xD... well I hope you readers enjoy!

 Every Foxfire fan jumped up in joy as Keefe passed the ball to Fitz and he made a touchdown, the winning touchdown. The buzzer beeped only a few seconds later.

The football team huddled, jumping up and down,congratulating Fitz.

Biana nudged Sophie.

"What?"

"Time to go down now. Remember no matter what you have to say no to whatever Fitz asks you,"Biana said.

"Ugh, why did you have to dare me to do this? He could ask anything!"

"I know what he's going to say and it's going to be funny! Now go!"

Sophie turned towards the field,making eye contact with Fitz. He winked at her. Half of the Foxfire girls gave each other sappy smiles. Boy was that prince hot winking after freshly taking off his helmet and running his hand through his hair.

"Fine,"Sophie gave in."You better not get me in trouble though!"

"I don't think you'll be in trouble... buttttttttt uh you might not be happy,"Biana said through her giggling.

Sophie glared at Biana one last time before making her way to the field.

Of course at the gate to the field, an adult man stood, not letting anybody on the field.

"Um excuse me, I need to get through,"Sophie said politely.

"Kid you don't want to go on the field and get trampled by those big guys."

"I doubt my own boyfriend will trample me,"Sophie countered.

The man snorted."You're like ten years old."

"Just let me go, I've been requested to go onto the field by Fitz Vacker."

"Oh, you could've just told me that Mr. Vacker is your boyfriend. Go on!"

Sophie rolled her eyes and quickly walked through the gate before the guy could change his mind.

Fitz ran hastily to his girlfriend,picked her up,and kissed her lips.

"Good job, Fitz!"

"Thanks for being here."

"I would never miss it, I know how important football is to you."

"Football is definitely a second, you're my first most important in my life."

"Aw, thank you Fitz!"

"Of course, Sophie. Let's head by the rest of the team."

Sophie nodded and let Fitz guide her over to the middle of the field.

Keefe stopped them.

"Hear you go Fitzy, it's time!"Keefe said,handing Fitz a microphone.

"Hello everyone, thank you for being here to support both teams. As a player myself, I truly know how much it means to us to have family, friends,and others here with us. A big thank you to all!" A pause followed for clapping." I would also like to say a few words about some of my close support. Thank you to my girlfriend, Sophie for making an effort to be here and motivating me to use my talents as best as possible. That's one reason why I'm going to do this."

Everyone got silent as Fitz got down on one knee and pulled out a ring.

"Sophie Elizabeth Foster, I love you so so so much and I want to be with you the rest of my life so you can be by my side forever. Will you marry me?"

He handed the mic to Keefe.

Sophie took a deep breath before saying very softly ,"No!"

The whole football team burst out laughing,including Fitz. The crowd had assumed she said yes and cheered for them.

He still put the ring on Sophie's finger and kissed her.

"I will be forever mad at Biana for this you know,"Sophie commented.

Fitz nodded."I see your parents by the concessions. Grady does not look happy."

"Uh oh."

They both made their way over there, scared for their lives.

"Young lady, what is the meaning of this?"Grady said sternly.

"Meaning of what?"

He pointed to the ring on her finger.

"Oh yeah, that. It's pretty, isn't it?"

"Sophie Elizabeth Foster!"Edaline called.

"You guys understand that whole thing was a joke,right? Biana dared me to say no to whatever question Fitz asked."

"That still doesn't erase that you have an engagement ring on your finger!"Grady fumed.

"I-"

"Mr. Ruewen, I'm sorry,"Fitz said, slipping next to Sophie and clasping their hands."Consider it a promise ring?"

Edaline nodded."That's a fine idea young man!"

Grady sighed.

"Don't let this guy get to you,"Edaline told Fitz."Grady will be alright!"

"I have no doubts, Mrs. Ruewen!"

"Oh please just call me Edaline!"

"Ok, Edaline!"

"Much better!"

Sophie and Fitz smiled, happily walking away to their friends.
