The world was crashing down on her.Like the weight of the sky was crushing her, the ground beneath her was dragging her down, and the air around her becoming suffocating.
Laying on the bed, their bed, Joy let the tears escape her eyes for the umpteenth time that morning. She had been sobbing throughout the entire night, only stopping when she had drifted to sleep for a few hours.
But the pain had woke her up and she immediately returned to sobbing on her bed of tissues.
The pain was something unlike Joy had ever experienced. It felt like someone had ripped out her heart and the rest of her body was trying to seam itself back together, but the chasm was too large for it to be fixed. The emptiness settled in her chest and it felt like nothing would ever be able to fill that space for the rest of her life.
They had barely been together for months. Months. And then he was just snatched away from her.
It felt like a part of her died along with him.
She thought she was finally happy. After years of suffering, she was finally allowed something that gave her happiness, that gave her joy. And then he was gone.
Joy cried harder into her pillow, desperately wishing she could rewind the past twenty-four hours to find some way to save Hoseok.
She resented everything Bangtan represented, everything it was. It stole her life, her youth, and most importantly, her soulmate. She would never, ever be able to forgive them.
Her despair began to channel into her rage, and before she knew it, she was tearing through her entire bedroom, livid at how ruined her life was. No matter what she did, she could never catch a break, and she desperately wished for her life to end if nothing good was ever going to come out of it.
After her fit of fury, she slumped back on to her bed, collapsing into the sheets that smelled like him. She found herself releasing another set of tears as the crater in her soul ached for the boy who was in her arms barely 24 hours ago.
"I can't stay here," she mumbled to herself, slowly wiping away her tears to no avail. She racked her brain, trying to figure out a plan on how to escape this hell. Staying in this prison would only make her relive the moment of losing Hoseok over and over, and she couldn't bear to be forced to live that reality.
She needed out.

Yeri groaned as she rolled over in bed, muscles aching as she slowly stretched out.
She glanced next to her to find the bed empty, which pulled her eyebrows together in concern.
"Jeon?" She spoke, her voice raspy with slumber. She sat up, glancing around the room to find herself alone.
She let out a small breath and looked at the clock on the table beside her. 1:04 PM.
Her eyes widened at how long she had been sleeping, mentally cursing Jungkook in her head for not waking her up. She shuffled out of bed and headed to the joint bathroom, quickly washing herself up.
She put her hair up into a lazy ponytail and shrugged on one of Jungkook's shirts and some shirts. She felt grateful for not having to wear her club clothing daily anymore; thank god for soulmates.
Her mind quickly reviewed the events of last night, and her heart stung slightly at the thought of Joy. Although they've had their disagreements, Joy was one of the first people she got to know when she arrived at Bangtan. Thinking about the loss she must have been going through dampened Yeri's mood. She couldn't imagine what she would do if she had lost Jungkook last night.
