Seulgi was in a state of distress. Her mind couldn't focus on anything except for trying to remember what had happened in the past two months. It had been two weeks since she returned from God knows where and has been restless since. Daniel had been trying to keep her sane, but she kept jumping and flinching at every sound as if she was scared something was going swipe her away again.
"Noona, please. Have some rice," Daniel begged his sister, pushing her small bowl of rice towards her.
"I'm not hungry right now," she replied, pushing it away. "You take it."
With that, she stood up from the table and started walking away.
"Where are you going? You can't just lock yourself in your room again!" He called after her, but Seulgi ignored him and kept her stride to her room.
She closed the door and placed her back against it, sliding down until she sat on the floor with her knees under her chin, held together by her arms. She wished she could just understand what happened.
After that doctor visit, all that she was told was that she was suffering from temporary amnesia, which was affecting her memory from those past two months.
Seulgi lifted up her wrist to her face, where she gazed at the same mark every day, well more like every chance she got. It was a small and simple tattoo, just the silhouette of a bear's head. She knew it had to have come from those two months since she had never gone to a tattoo parlor in her life.
She took the thumb of her other hand and gently grazed over the mark, furrowing her eyebrows as she tried to remember her past.
"Bear."
She could hear it in her head, but it wasn't her voice. In fact, the voice was male. She shook her head, believing she was going crazy.
She stood up from the ground and look out the window. The sun had been down for a few hours now, with it being winter and all. She slugged around and performed her evening activities before getting into bed.
That night was like the rest, where she tossed and turned, attempting to get sleep but failing. At some time, around 3 AM, she started to doze off.
"You're very warm, you know. It's like your body is an oven." I blurted out.
He chuckled and I could feel the vibrations of his laugh. "Good to know, love."
I looked up at him. "You're also very confusing."
"How so?" He asked, an amused smile tugging at his lips.
"One minute you're all, hi I'm Mr. Scary Man coming to eat you and then you're all touchy and sensual and you make me feel nervous and have butterflies."
"I make you nervous?" He laughed.
"Like all the time. I mean sometimes it's for different reasons, like maybe I'm nervous you're going to kill me but then sometimes I get the butterflies," I explained, feeling my cheeks heat up.
"Butterflies?"
"You know, the good nervous, like when you go on dates, or you're with the guys you like. You get a light airy feeling in your stomach and it makes nervous yet on cloud nine at the same time. You make me feel like that a lot."
Seulgi shot her eyes open. Sitting up, she noticed that it was about 11 in the morning. She rubbed her eyes and yawned as she tried to process the dream she had. It was the same voice she heard say "Bear". It was blurry in her dream, but she could see that man wore all black.
