heyahe - one

Seulgi groaned as the penetration of bright fluorescent lights entered her vision. She felt the stiff sheets that lay under her as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. The last thing she remembered was the bar with Irene. . .how did she end up here? An infirmary?

She was slightly startled when three people burst into the room, trying to sit herself up. She saw the "Boss" and Irene, along with another man who she assumed was the doctor, enter the room.

"Finally you're up," the "Boss" commented, seeming annoyed. Irene rolled her eyes and came closer to Seulgi.

"Are you feeling okay?" She asked softly. "You hit the floor pretty hard."

"Everything kind of hurts, but I guess that's it," Seulgi shrugged.

"Irene tells me you were feeling chest pains?" The man who Seulgi believed was the doctor spoke up. Seulgi nodded.

"I've been looking into reasons and I believe you were either having a heart attack, or you were feeling your soulmate bond." He explained, looking at his clipboard that he had scribbled notes on to. Irene had seemed unsurprised at his comment, while Jimin creased his eyebrows in confusion.

"What? How is that possible? I haven't even met my soulmate yet," Seulgi inquired with the same confusion.

"Maybe you have. You just don't know that they're your soulmate. Perhaps you haven't touched yet." The doctor suggested.

"Well considering how majority of the men I've met in the past two days wear gloves 24/7, I guess you could be right," Seulgi replied.

"Like hell any of the men in my base could be your soulmate," Jimin rolled his eyes.

"There's a likelihood that someone within your gang is her soulmate, Boss. It's not exactly something you can control."

"It would make no sense for someone like her to be the soulmate of anyone in Bangtan. My members and her differ from each other like day and night. It's impossible," Jimin crossed his arms.

"I'm telling you there's a possibility."

"And I'm telling you to let it go." Jimin glared at the doctor. "You're sure it wasn't some heart condition?"

The doctor nodded. "I've checked for any more health concerns, but she's perfectly healthy. There's nothing wrong with her heart, so I've ruled out the cause of her collapse being a heart attack or something else related to her heart."

Jimin shook his head. "Whatever it is, I'm sure it's just a one-time thing. Let's just get her discharged and out of here."

The doctor and Jimin left the room, leaving Irene and Seulgi in the infirmary. Irene gave Seulgi a small smile and sat down on the edge of Seulgi's hospital bed.

"No matter what he believes, I think the doctor is right." She stated. Seulgi assumed the 'he' she was referring to was the boss.

"How can you tell? Maybe there is something wrong with my heart that the doctor just didn't catch," Seulgi shrugged.

"It's happened to me before. The heart pain, passing out from the harsh pain, I've experienced it all before." Irene confessed.

"You've met your soulmate?" Seulgi questioned. She remembered that man who had originally brought her here.

Irene gives a small smile. "I'm sure you've met him before."

"He...he cheated on you?"

"Well, it's a complicated story. It's pretty long and I'm not sure how much time we have before the boss comes back and I'm not exactly sure if you'd--"
