Betty's POV:
The next day, Veronica comes over. It feels perfect, having her here again. I really really missed her.
"Betty, you must wear this" she says pulling out this purple dress I didn't even know I had.
"I didn't even know that was in there" I say getting up from my bed "but why can I just wear what I already have on?"
"You are not wearing a hoodie and jeans to this party. Now go try this on" she says throwing the dress at me.
"Fine fine" I say going into my bathroom and changing into the dress. I look in the mirror and I'm speechless. It's really tight but it's not a bad tight. I walk out of the bathroom
"I don't know V" she spins around and gasp.
"You look incredible, it fits perfect"
"Don't you think it's a little tight"
"No no, it's legit perfect" she squeals spinning me around.
"Ooh, you can wear some white heals with it and I'll do your makeup"
"What about hair?"
"Leave it down, it's so pretty down"
An hour later
"I think we are done" she says jumping up and down.
I look in the mirror, I do look good.
"It's time to go Cooper" she says grabbing my hand and leading me downstairs. My mom looks up but doesn't say anything. That's actually pretty surprising but she hasn't said anything to me since yesterday. Veronica drives my car and we finally get there. I see people everywhere.
"Veronica, what if this doesn't work? What if he doesn't come?"
"Doesn't come" she laughs and points to Jughead in a group.
"Nevermind" I mumble. We get out of the car, Veronica leads me straight into the house. We head right for the dance floor and I just let my body react to the music.
Jughead's POV:
I see Betty get out with Veronica, she looks breathtaking. She's in a lavender dress that was made for her and white heels. Her hair is down which looks so angelic. I watch her walk inside and I tell the guys I'm going to get a drink. I get inside and see Veronica and Betty again. There both in the middle of the "dance floor". I lean on a wall, nearest to the room where they're dancing.
"What are you up to Jones?" Toni says behind me, scaring me.
"Toni, you scared me"
"I can't help it if your staring at Betty like she's the only person here"
"I mean have you seen her"
"Yeah, me, you, and every other guy in this room" My face gets serious and I look around. There's so many guys eyeing her, it makes my blood boil.
"Jones, if you want the girl. Go for it" Toni says patting my shoulder and disappearing. Veronica leaves from Betty's side and I see a guy come up to her.
Betty's POV:
"Hi I'm Archie" some guys I I says coming up by me.
"Betty"
"I don't think I've ever seen you, where you do go?"
"Riverdale"
"Aah okay, I'm from Greendale" I nod
"It's kinda loud, wanna get out of her for a moment?" He ask and I nod again.
We both walk outside and out to this peer place. I take off my heels and dangle my feet over the water.
"I love the way the moon reflects the water, how about you?" He says, staring at the water.
"Yeah it's beautiful"
"Almost as beautiful as you"
"Thanks"
"So do you have a boyfriend?"
"No I don't"
"Really? Jones isn't your boyfriend?"
"No, no guys ever interested in me. Wait did you say Jones? As in Jughead Jones?"
"Yeah he was watching you pretty hardcore, I just assumed y'all were dating"
"We are not" I say, looking at my hands. He moves closer to me. I look up and he kisses me. I pull back and move away.
"Woah woah, I've known you for like 2 seconds. What the hell?"
"I mean you don't have a boyfriend" he says and kisses me again. I push him off.
"Leave me alone, perv" I say standing up and grabbing my shoes. He follows after me.
"Cmon baby girl"
"You disgust me and I thought you were a nice guy"
"What were you excepting, guys are nice to girls unless the want something" he says getting closer to me. He grabs my waist and tried to kiss me again.
"LEAVE ME ALONE" I say trying to push him off. I start to cry.
"I like a girl who will fight me"
"Get off"
"HEY, She said to leave her alone. Jerk" Jughead says coming up behind him. He pull Archie away from me.
"DUDE WHAT THE HELL?" Archie yells.
"IF YOU SO MUCH AS EVEN FUCKING THINK ABOUT HER LIKE THAT AGAIN, I WILL END YOU I SWEAR"
"Whatever, she's such a prude"
"What did you say?"
"I'm pretty sure you heard me" then Jughead punches him.
"STOP, stop it" I yell, bending down and pulling Jughead off.
"He's not worth it" I say pulling Jughead up. We walk in silence until we get to the cars.
"I'm sorry Betts"
"It's fine, I didn't need your help"
"Betty"
"Can we just not?"
"Yeah, can I drive you home?" I nod and pull out my to text Veronica.
We get home and i get out. I make it all the way to the porch but then turn back. I see Jughead already getting out of his car and running up to his house.
"Jug wait" he stops and turns around.
"Thanks for saving me. I didn't mean what I said either"
"Your welcome, Betts" I smile and before I know what I'm doing. I kiss him
