Chapter 7

Chapter 7-What are we?

     After hanging out with Melissa all day and eating dinner I'm alone in my room. I think about what happened over the weekend. That Friday night.

     ~Friday, A few days ago~

     "Kiss me." That was the last thing he said before it felt like my heart was moving out of my chest. I kiss him and he pulls me close, I snuggle into him as he obviously kisses back, I hum happily.

     We pull away and I blush, embarrassed I think, and his face is definitely flushed and he looks away. I never explained how he looked, Leo had gorgeous dyed curls, He had dyed his hair a ocean blue which made his green eyes make him a earthy beauty, he had gorgeous chocolate brown skin and he was about my height, maybe a few inches taller at about 5'7. He is gorgeous.

He hums at me and I laugh, smiling at him. We stop doing Truth or Dare and just start talking about random things, playing video games too. We play games until we have to go to bed. Good day.

~Present day; Now~

I sigh at the memory and realize I haven't been on my phone all day and Leo saw me leave bad not come back to class. I open my phone and see a few messages from Leo. Oops my bad.

'Hello' 'Hey were'd you go today' 'Hello???' Is the three recent messages I giggle a little and message back, 'Hi, Hi, Hi I went home.' I respond and laugh a little bit frown remembering earlier.

     'Oh my goodness, Hi. Why haven't you messaged?' He responds, I giggle but frown. 'I was hanging out with Melissa all day before dinner.' I respond, getting up and getting a soda from the fridge.

     'Ah, Do you wanna tell me about what happened? Or no?' He says as I walk back to my room. 'Well I do, but not today since it was today. But maybe later this week, okay?' I respond, opening the soda.

     'Okay. Hope your okay.' He says back and I smile softly at my phone, kinda wishing he was there with me today. 'It wasn't me who had the worst of it😔❤️' I respond, I may have used a confusing pair of emojis there but I don't know.

     'Aw I'm sorry.❤️💔' He responds and I drink more of my soda, 'It's okay at the moment. But it's not okay that it happened.' I say, and turn on Netflix.

     'I get it. ❤️💕' He says, sending heart emojis and making my heart flutter. '🥺❤️' Is all I could respond with as I sigh on my bed, watching Netflix with my soda.

     '😘❤️It's been a hard day but I'm here for you💕' He says and I blush, 'Thanks🥰☺️' is what I responded with. I'm not sure what we are, I think we're a thing.. But I'm not sure yet we haven't said.

     'Hey... What are we?' I ask, We are definitely closer than friendship now. 'Well, boyfriends if your okay with it?..' he says and my heart like bursts. 'Of course! Yeah.' I respond, humming.

     Off that topic, Our school is really a good school. Besides the sign language interpreter and whatever necessities or accommodations kids have it is a 'typical' classroom in the main grade classrooms.

     That substitute was horrible today, and I want him fired from working in schools like mine. But I can't stop him, I go to Melissa, her playing quietly in her room and I frown before going and rubbing her hair.

     "Hey sissy, How are you feeling?" I ask her, and she looks up at me and shrugs. I frown and sit next to her, "Want me to read you some books so you can settle for bed?" She shrugs again but nods and gets up and goes and lays down.

     I grab a stack of her favorite books and read them one by one, I think she fell asleep during the second or third book, but I wanted to keep reading and being close to her at that moment in time.

     When I'm done with the stack I put them away and kiss her forehead and tuck her in. "Goodnight sissy, I love you. Tomorrow's a better day." I say and leave her room, going to take a shower.

     After I shower I make sure my uniform is clean and hung up for tomorrow, putting any school stuff I had out back into my backpack. I drink my soda and watch Netflix, not what to sure before bed.

     'I love you🥺❤️' I message Leo, him responding instantly. 'I love you too Ash❤️😘' He responds, making me squeal a little as I smile at his message.

     I FaceTime Leo, Bored out of my mind. "Hey." Leo says with a smile and I smile at him too. "Hey." I say back, humming at him. "Why'd you call?" He asks, he didn't mean it rudely.

     "I wanted to see you, Didn't get to see you long at school." I say and he nods, doing funny faces at me. I giggle and bite my lip at him. "You're adorable." I say, and he does a fake little pout.

     "No you." He says and I shake my head, "You're too much." I say and giggle and he laughs with me, I think I saw a frown but maybe he didn't know what to take from my joke to him.

     "Hey! Who are you talking to!" His dad was heard yelling from somewhere outside Leo's room. "I'm talking to Leo!" Leo says, Leo biting his lip as he waits for something to be said or done.

     "Okay! Bed soon!" He says and he leaves near the room. Leo sighs in relief and I frown and smile at him. "Hey, I'm here for you. I love you Leo." I say and he blushes, I blush and giggle a little.

     "I love you too Ash." He says softly as he looked at his door before saying it, I sigh at him and his situation but I can't do anything about it. "Hey, I'm gonna go to bed, Goodnight love." He says and I blush and nod. "Goodnight Leo, I love you." I say, making him smile. "I love you too." He responds before we hang up and go to bed and sleep away the night.
