naib subedar x therapist! reader.

-

You were expecting a deadly cat and mouse game ever since you first arrived but as time passes by, the unusual costumes, pets, normal holidays and events made it seem like everything was... tolerable.

But it was one of the manor owner's schemes to keep the so-called players play this never-ending game.

You know it damn well.

It was no surprise considering your occupation does involve human psychology so reading and understanding emotions was easy as breathing.

Your expression stayed clear, watching the hunter infront of you pace around while the timer for your initial rocket chair flight seemed to be much more slower than most survivors.

"Why don't you sit still and tell me what's troubling you.." You said as you rested your head comfortably on the chair, you would take out your trusty board and pen but it got lost while in the middle of the chase so you could only lend a listening ear.

The ripper stopped on his tracks before sitting infront of you, not minding the dusty floor of sacred heart hospital.

"There's nothing troubling me dear... it's just that I've been hearing things I'm not supposed to hear, I know someone dead like me shouldn't be scared but the deafening silence that follows after is driving me... insane."

The hunter's tone seemed to get softer as he continued to vent out infront of the therapist, unbeknownst to the both of you, a certain mercenary had already untied the ropes that kept you in place.

"As much as I'd like to continue our sudden session, I believe the current environment isn't fit for such.." You said cooly, earning a defeated sigh from the ripper.

"Alright dearie, let's meet up whenever you are free." And with that, you and the mercenary left through the opened exit gate nearby.

-

"You know you don't have to always listen to everyone.." A green hooded man said while sitting next to you, a tray filled with tonight's dinner was resting on his hands.

"What do you mean?" You questioned back, taking another bite of the deliciously cooked dinner from your plate.

"You know what I mean." He shot back, pulling down his hood to reveal his brown locks that was neatly tied into a low ponytail.

"It's my job, it's the least I can do for everyo-"

"That's why I hate you."

Blinking at the new profound information, you tried your best to remain composed as you ignored a few stares from the other survivors upon hearing what Naib had said.

Sure it was no surprise that the mercenary would say something harsh but he always tend to be careful whenever it comes to you.

You two were no doubt, very close.

After your first encounter at a stormy midnight and you seeing him in his weakest state, you slowly became friends.
