Andrew Kreiss x Ghost! Reader

Everything takes place pre-manor, reader is dead btw.

-

You never liked thunderstorms, well.. who honestly would?

Perhaps a madman but you're no mad nor a human, you're just a ghost that's seemingly cursed to spend eternity in an abandoned manor.

The place was alright if you ignored the torn down walls, creaking floor and leaking ceiling in the attic.

You couldn't touch anything as your almost transparent body would always go through it so that's why you had long given up your attempts of turning the manor somewhat decent enough to live in.

The harsh wind that blew through the falling window frame had snapped you out of your thoughts, it was a mess outside.

The harsh rain followed by the loud thunder wasn't enough to make a child's soft whimper unheard.

following the gentle sniffles, there you found a child huddled up with a dirty toy resting in his tiny hands.

You felt a pang of guilt when you saw how his clothes were tattered and how thin his body is.

It was thin enough for a gentle breeze to blow him away.

Shaking your head, you knelt down infront of him and sighed.

ah...what can I even do to help.. an adult can't even see a strand of my hair, let alone a child.”

You muttered under your breath as the albino child suddenly flicked his head towards your direction, fear written all over his face.

“P-Please don't hurt me..” He cried, tears pooling down his cheeks taking you by surprise.

You thoughts were a mess, a panicked expression was on your face as you nervously looked around and pointed to yourself.

You... Can you see me?”

You were confused, surprised, shocked and happy at the same time. you didn't know how to feel considering it was a first.

The boy meekly nodded, hiding his face using his white locks.

“Oh my hastur! I can't believe it!”

Out of pure joy, you wrapped your arms around the boy, only to go through his small frame and leave more fear.

“O-Oh my... my bad..”

You stuttered, trying to calm the shaking child.

“I-I got too excited that someone can finally see me, my dead body moved on it's own..”

You apologized, scratching the back of your neck as you gave him an apologetic smile.

“What's your name? it's quite rude of me to not ask for it earlier..”

Seeing the child slowly calm down, he answered with a quiet whisper.

“Andrew...Kreiss..”

“Well Andrew, the storm doesn't seem to stop anytime soon so why don't you go to the living room?” You said, pointing to the window that almost fell because of the strong wind.

He reluctantly followed you, eyeing your almost transparent body and shuddering at the thought of angering you.

But you were far from getting angry, in fact, it was quite the opposite.

Because of how happy you are, you went through the wall and had forgotten that you are accompanying a human child and not a spirit.

stopping in the middle of your tracks, the half of your body went through a wall, surprising the child once again.

“Whoops- force of habit, I suppose..”

You chuckled before signalling for him to open the door himself in order to get inside the living room.

Andrew's lips formed into an O upon seeing the room in a slightly decent condition, It wasn't entirely the best but the furnitures are still usable.

In the middle of the room, a black cat rested idly next to the fireplace.

“That is Joann, she takes care of the place in my stead for I can't directly interact with human objects..”

You introduced, showcasing your hand that went through the slightly cracked flower vase.

“I don't entirely know how it's possible but my existence is enough proof to say that not everything is impossible..”

You answered the question that was in his mind.

“No, I'm not a mind reader, Andrew.”

You quickly added.

The night was spent with laughter and stories until the storm had calmed.

Gentle sunrayd illuminated through the ripped walls and curtains waking the child up, his eyes wondered around as if looking for a certain something or someone.

But he could only sigh as the empty room was all that there is left, along with the fleeting curiosity on what he might be looking for.

His feet then met the warm floor, walking towards the door and to the hallways as if he knew where he was supposed to go.

A tall wooden door greeted him.

Giving his almighty strength, he pushed it open to reveal the outside world.

It was a sunny day, a few puddles left by the rain only remained.

“Are you sure about removing his memories from last night?”

Joann, the black cat, asked.

You could only smile bitterly as both of your hands rested behind your back.

“Yes, I don't think it's best for him to remember me... after all..

I'm already long gone.”
