Chapter 9,
A few hours later I left the room where L.C was soundly sleeping and went down to the living room. I was sitting on the couch with my cell phone hoping my dad had called me or any one of my sibs have texted me. I was trying not to cry when I had no new messages. I held the phone up to my lips with my hand tightly wrapped around it. I know it's like five A.M but I couldn't sleep not with my thoughts running around in my head like kids on crack and sugar, bouncing around all hyper. I was waiting for Eric, Lies, Morgan and Tyler to get home from what ever they were at. I couldn't help but wonder what did Lies see earlier? Can she see the future? The door opened and Lies and Morgan came in talking very loudly and then Tyler came in after them and shut the door.
"That was close, we almost got caught." Lies said weezing and still laughing.
"Thats such a rush." Morgan panted. I flickered my unimpressed look at them and in a instant I changed it to a look of curiosity.
"What’s such a rush?" I whispered.
"We went to the woods and ran with the wolves." Lies said smiling happily. I felt my phone viberate, in a flash of lightening it was resting against my ear.
"Hello?" I asked cautiously. It was silent for a minute "Renta. Its Dad. where are you?" Dad's voice made me feel like I died and went to heaven. But the destress in his voice made me worry.
"Dad what’s wrong?" I asked nervously.
"You're school told me they found bloody cloths in your room and they think you killed mom." Dad said impression less which meant he believed it.
"No daddy! it was Moon!" Edien yelled. Edien was right. "And your boy friend is here." He paused
"Eric." The sound of his name made me jump.
"ERIC!?" I sighed
"He's not my boy friend dad." I began to say that well he used to be. But I didn't because Eric would be dead because my dad would have killed him for breaking up with me. My dad thinks all his girls deserve all the boys because we're just that awesome.
"Dad put Eric on the phone." I staggered with my words. I herd the brushing of hands on the receiver.
"Hey Renta." Eric said very cocky.
"What is it Eric?" I asked a bit pissed off. Morgan's face was a grayish teal, her eyes are big and filled with an emotion I can't name.
"Oh well then, if you're going to be like that, then I'll have to tell you something." Eric's voice was dark and scary. I was scared and tired but I can't let everyone know. "And what is that?" I asked jerking out of my seat and wobbling to my feet. I could hear Eric's smile grow on his face. I couldn't tell what he was going to say but I knew it was bad.
"Moon knows where you are." Eric hesitated to tell. I dropped my phone. It hit the floor with a thump. Everyone's heads turned to me. I could hear Eric saying "Hello?" "Renta?! Hello?" My knees buckled and I dropped to the floor like a rock sinking to the bottom of a lake. I picked up the phone and rested it against my ear. "Are you sure?" I questioned. I was shaking and sweating badly. There was a moment of silence when Eric's voice confirmed it
"Yes I'm sure." I felt my throat dry and my joints stiffen. "Okay." I whispered and hung up the phone. I didn't feel like talking to anyone.
"Ren what’s wrong?" Lies asked. Their faces were white and gray. I swallowed hard my throat was dry and my heart was pounding.
"She knows." I said lightly. My voice sounded like a ghostly whisper.
"Who knows what?" Morgan asked her tone was full of pitty and concernn.
