Chapter 15
I stood face to face with my enemy. I scoped out a place for me to enter. I smelt L.C near in this block. I relaxed and let my mind free. I was going to call out to him the way I knew he would hear me. L.C are you there? I asked mentally, I felt a swift in the air, like a jerking motion. Who’s there?! His voice was alarmed. It’s me. Yeah I’m back. I waited for a response. Hadley what are you doing here? He asked I’m here to save you guys. I replied. What room are you in? I waited for a few seconds. Forty seven C. I had my target. Now came the hard part, how do I get in without being noticed? Do you know a way I can get in without being noticed? I asked. Slight shift in the air. Yeah Come through the back door it’s not locked and there are no cameras. L.C said, I was happy to hear his voice. Thanks. I thanked him Oh and Hadley love you babe. I was close to something I needed, and I wasn’t going to just stand by this time. I closed my eyes and breathed in a deep cold breath. Some one was at the back door having a smoke. Perfect. I wasn’t trying to be cocky but I walked right through the front yard of the place and walked past some open windows. I saw the girl standing having a smoke, she was unaware of me; I snuck in past her quikly. I turned the corner to the stair case and I felt as if I jumped to the sun, Lee was standing there; he didn’t look happy. “Sneaky thing you are, next time remember I’m not a sound sleeper.” Lee said, I shook my head. “Why are you here?” He asked. “The sun is going to be up in ten minutes and you ran off with my things.” He added just for the hell of it. “They won’t expect a vampire to attack during the day.” I said practicly craming this down his throat. Lee’s expresstion said different. He toke my hand we began to walk through the building. “Lee go home.” I protested trying to get my hand out of his grip. “No can do.” His grip tightened. I pryed his fingures off my wrist. “What rooms are they in?” I asked. We stopped, Lee tilted his head up and sniffed the air. “L.C forty seven C, Lies and Morgan are next door to each other in thirty A and B, Tyler is in sixty B and Maddy is in forty six A.” Lee anwserred me. Lee walked ahead of me. Room forty seven C was coming up to our left. “I’ll get L.C you get the rest of them.” I whispered to Lee whom was already half way down the hall by now. The door was on of those weird vampire proof doors, I hated with a passion. No problem, I’m stronger now; I can open this door without a problem. I put one of my hands on the handle and the other against the door so I could open it. I wiggled the handle and then the door opened with no problem. L.C was standing at the barred window. He didn’t turn around when I came in. The silence was screaming the truth, even though there was nothing to tell. I thought breaking the silence would be a good thing but I’ve been wrong before. “Hey.” I said softly entering the bland room. “How are you here?” He asked with a raspy voice that reminded me of some one I knew a long time ago. I didn’t follow. “You died in my arms. We tried to bring you back a few months ago, it didn’t work so who brought you back?!” He exclaimed turning around. His shaggy hair was gone, it didn’t shadow his face but it had a bit of length to it. L.C’s face was pale and his cheeks, eyes and nose were a punch colour. His eyes were still blue. “You got your hair cut?” I said lively. He shook his head “You didn’t answer my question.” His voice was strong and filled with nothing. I shook my head and shrugged. “Honestly I,” I trailed off, he didn’t look happy with me at this moment but deep inside he ws happy to know I was alive. “I don’t know.” I admitted truthfully. He turned away. It was time to come out and say what’s been bothering me for a year.“I remember a look you would give me, when ever I touched you or made contact with you, you can feel me” I paused breathing “You can feel things when I touch you, that’s why you like me holding you, touching you and making physical contact with you.” I breathed “You like feeling.” I ended my ‘speach’. L.C turned back to me, he nodded. “That’s not the only reason I love you, I love you because you know what it’s like to wonder who you are, to thrive in excellence.” L.C made a better speach than mine. He walked to me and toke my hand and placed it on his chest where his heart sat and the rythem was strongest. Stareing into his ice blue eyes made me quiver. He smiled. “That’s the first time he smiled in a year.” Lies’ voice was strong and loud. I turned to see her, she was different, Lies had long hair that went past her shoulders; if she sat down her hair would graze the floor or what ever she was sitting on. “Lies!” I exclaimed ready to launch at her “And Morgan!” Morgan budded in happily. I ran to them and hugged them tightly. I swear if we weren’t laughing, we’d be crying. “Haldey you did it again so I lost my shit.” Morgan announced. We couldn’t do anything but laugh at the promise she made when we were in school. I looked towards the door way where Maddy and Tyler were standing waiting to be invited in. I nodded and they came in and joined the group hug. I closed my eyes trying not to cry. “Well I never thought to see you here again.” Jerry’s voice scared me but it also angered me. Th hug split up. I snarled at him “You are a dead man.” I was ready to lunge at him to kill. Something clicked, some one is missing. . . “Lee.” I whispered to myself. A smile formed upon the face of evil. “Don’t worry about Lee’s in a better place now.” Pissing me off was the last thing you’d want to do. I didn’t want to fight anymore this feeling just came over me, it was over whelming but maybe this feeling was going to save our lives. I sighed sadly. “Okay you know what, why do you want to kill us?” I asked. Morgan looked at me very confused. Jerry normaly expects alot from me but this he wasn’t expecting, the smile was wiped off his face. “Well. . . .” “Because, I’m a scientist and you’re my projects and now I have my data so no need for you.” He made an excuse, a really crapy one at that. I had to keep him thinking I want to talk, I’ll say before I die I want one last walk and he’ll give me that wish because, he was my dad, before I had to go get teeth pulled I asked for McDonalds and then he gave it to me afterwards. “Fine, but can we have one wish before we die.” Morgan, Lies, Tyler, L.C and Maddy looked at me weird and worried. I had my hands behind my back so I made the AOkay sign. L.C knew my plan because, he knows me. “Okay what is that?” He asked concearned. “We want to go for one last walk for atleast an hour.” I demanded. Jerry thought for a minute “Fine only for an hour, no more.” “No less.” L.C added.
