A Breez in Bioncle

Back at hero factory...

"The lights seem...brighter, don't they?" Stringer said to Surge and Ferno, trying to cheer them up.

They were at Zib's command center with Bulk and Stormer. The two hadn't been able to get over Breez's death and had mostly moped around hero factory.

"Poor Breez..." Bulk said to Stormer.

"Yeah, she was a good kid." Stormer said.

Even for the veteran heros, it was a hard blow.

Zib and Quazel were working on something when Nex and Evo ran in.

"Have any of you seen Clipper?" Nex cried.

Like Breez, Surge, and Ferno, the three were very close, all being the first heros made with the upgrade.

Zib checked the security camaras.

"She's in the training simulater." Zib said. "Records show she has been there for hours."

"Clipper hasn't forgiven herself for what happened to Breez." Evo said.

"Why?" Ferno asked. "It wasn't her fault."

"She thinks that if she had held out longer, Breez would still be here." Evo said.

"Well she shouldn't." Stormer said. "None of us could have done anything."

"That's strange." Zib said.

"What?"

"Extra energy is coming out of the training room and going to the rest of the factory." Zib explained.

"So that's why the lights are brighter." Stringer said.

"How is extra energy coming out of the training room?" Bulk asked.

"It looks like...it looks like Clipper has plugged in her Quaza core to give power, like a hero link." Zib said.

"What?" Stormer said. "Why?"

"To practice for the next time her Quaza core leaks during a mission." Bulk said. "Like when Breez was..."

"Her core is almost empty." Zib said.

"Clipper!" Both Nex and Evo cried as they ran to the training room, with the others close behind.

Once they reached the training room doors, the heros found it locked.

"Clipper!" Stormer shouted. "Open up!"

The doors opened and the heros found Clipper jumping around on only .00000000023% percent energy.

"Clipper stop!" Evo cried as he and Nex grabbed her.

"Hey, I was almost done!" Clipper cried.

"You were done when you reached 1% charged up." Stormer said.

He turned to Evo, Nex, Ferno, and Surge.

"Take her for recharge."

As the others left, Stringer turned to his two friends.

"And I thought Ferno and Surge were taking Breez's death hard."
