Summer in Florida

{Chapter 9}

Although George was fairly shocked to see Eva sitting in his home. He didn't feel as bad as he thought he would. After the amazing day he had just had, he didn't feel angry or sad.

Of course it still hurt a little. But it felt as though he was finally starting to get over Dream. The feelings definitely weren't gone, and they'd probably never fully disappear, but he was getting there.

"Hey George! This is Eva." Dream looked at him, trying to figure out what George was feeling.

"Hi Eva! Nice to meet you!" George says enthusiastically, walking over to them and taking a seat.

Dream's expression turned. Surely he was happy that George seemed okay with this? But he didn't seem like he was happy..Dream almost looked disappointed that George was so okay with the situation...

"So George, you've been gone for a while where have you been?" Sapnap asked, turning to face George.

"Well, I went out for a walk and I actually ended up meeting someone.." George said, his face turning bright red, he looked down to try and hide his obvious blush.

"Oh really! Who are they?" Sapnap was visibly happy that George had met a new friend.

"His name is Aaron. He's actually really nice! We have loads in common and we talked for hours!" George couldn't wipe the huge smile off of his face.

"Ooo Georgie has a crush." Sapnap nudged George, teasing him.

George didn't even deny it. He wasn't exactly over Dream, but he didn't know how he felt about Aaron. He just liked talking with him.

"Do you?" Dream suddenly spoke up.

"Hm?" George was clearly confused.

"Like him. Do you like him?" Dream didn't make eye contact with George, he looked...jealous? No he has a girlfriend, he was probably just concerned that George had only met him a few hours ago.

"I don't really know. I think i'm just going to continue seeing and talking to him. I guess i'll see where things go." George smiled, he had butterflies in his stomach. He loved the feeling and joy that talking about Aaron gave him.

"I'm happy for you George!" Eva quickly spoke up. She honestly seemed lovely. George felt bad for immediately thinking of her negatively just because of his feelings towards Dream.

Before George could even speak up his phone made a ding sound. George rushing to see who it was.

It was Aaron.

Hey George:)

"Who's that?" Sapnap teased. He clearly already knew through the big smile and George's red face.

"It's Aaron." George replied cheerfully.

Dream scoffed, shaking his head.

"What's your issue?" George asked, his happy expression changing to more annoyed.

"Can i speak to you?" Dream asked, indicating for George to come with him outside.

"What's up Dream?" George asked when they both went outside, closing the door behind them.

"You literally just met him! How'd you know he's not some creep!" Dream snapped.

"What? Dream come on. He's not! And if he is then i'll have to find out the hard way!" George snapped back.

"Yeah? What if learning the hard way gets you hurt?" Dream was visibly annoyed, for what? He didn't need to be so overprotective.

"Okay Dream you don't get to do this." George let out an annoyed chuckle.

"Do what?" Dream was confused.

"Be overprotective! He's a good guy! I'm finally meeting someone who distracts me from you, and you don't like that? I don't get what your issue is! You knew my feelings and you made it clearly obvious where we stood. So you do not get to lecture me about who i'm seeing." George snapped and stormed off.

"George!" Dream called after him. He didn't move, he was stood there in shock.

After running for a few minutes, George came to a stop and pulled out his phone and scrolled through his contacts, ringing Aaron.

"Hey are you free?" George immediately said as Aaron answered the phone.

"Miss me already?" Aaron joked.

George let out a little chuckle. "I really need to speak to someone."

"Meet me at the cafe, i'll be there in 5." Aaron's time changed to be more serious when he heard George's upset tone.

A few minutes passed and George arrived at the cafe, a car pulling up shortly after and out came a tall, brunette man.

George smiled and ran up to him, pulling him into a hug. This took Aaron by surprise, considering they have only known each other a day but he hugged hun back. George was obviously upset.

"Do you want to come hang out at my place?" Aaron spoke up, trying to comfort George.

"Yes please." George realised him from his hug and stepped into Aaron's car, the two driving off shortly after.
