It was nearing the start of the party, leaving Celia, Valentine, Macey, Marlene, and Lily up in the Hufflepuff dorm as they finished getting ready. All the girls were in a great mood, having enjoyed spending the time to get ready and decorate together.

"Ow! That's my eye! Do you have no bloody coordination?" Macey cried, moving back from where Celia stood, eyeliner pencil in her hand.

"Stop blinking and maybe then I'll have some!" Celia huffed, grabbing Macey's chin and pulling her forward, continuing with the makeup.

Celia had even applied some to Valentine, her eyelids a rosy red color to compliment her sweater, cheeks pink and lips bright. Lily had done everyone's hair, Valentine's straight down except for a few piece pulled to the back in a half-up half-down style.

So while Valentine was normally understanding and patient, she was growing more and more unattained as she sat on the edge of her bed, clicking her black boots against the ground as she waited for everyone to finish getting ready. She was slightly on edge due to her and Lily having a small argument because she'd hexed Severus a couple days prior, but they seemed to be okay other than the fact Valentine was annoyed with the Gryffindor girl for always standing up for him.

Valentine watched her friends, taking in their outfits, which she had so nicely helped pick out for them.

Celia insisted on wearing black, therefore she was dressed in a lace black dress that reached mid-thigh, her hair in a long braid and eye makeup done to make her appear much more intimidating than she was.

Marlene wore a dress as well, though hers was a cherry red color, bright against her pale skin. The dress tied in the back and the neck came low, giving everyone a good view if she leant forward. Her hair was done simply, left down and curled to perfection.

Macey dressed more simply, choosing on black jeans and a pale pink shirt, her hair in a ponytail with stray pieces framing her face, lips painted red and black flats on her feet.

Lily's outfit surprised the girls the most, however. She'd chosen a black shirt, though it was a bit small, showing a sliver of her stomach, paired with a red velvet skirt that had tiny black hearts littered in it.

Valentine had worn a short, black leather skirt with black see-through tights, black boots, and a deep, red colored sweater that came high on her neck and low around her wrists. She was comfortable and warm, her only concern was the skirt, it having been a bit tighter than she'd wanted it to be, but Marlene had forced her into wearing it.

"Guys," Marlene said, eyeing everyone in the dorm as well as herself. "We look hot."

Lily grinned, smoothing down her shirt and brushing hair off her shoulder. "Yeah, we do."
