Valentine, whistling to herself, entered the Gryffindor common room behind Macey, closing it gently.
"Hola, homies. What's-,"
Macey was automatically cut off when four voices hushed her violently, causing her to shut her mouth and Valentine to giggle.
James quickly walked down the stairs leading to the boys dormitory, gently taking Valentine's wrist and pulling her upstairs behind him. Then he crouched down and peeked through the tiny slit of the open door, allowing space for only Sirius and him to see.
"What's going on?" Valentine asked quietly, and James grinned at her, moving aside so she could take a peek. She moved forward, still feeling James' warmth as she pressed against his side, and through the crack in the door she saw two figures standing, speaking about something.
Due to the familiar red hair, Valentine was quick to acknowledge the girl as Lily Evans, leading her to realize the tall boy across from her was Remus Lupin.
She pulled away, matching James' wild grin.
"Yeah, so, I ended up having that talk with Remus, right? He was totally surprised, didn't expect me to handle it so well, I guess. Anyways, I told him to go for it, yada yada, and boom! Remus yanks Evans upstairs and they've been talking for a while now," James thoroughly explained, and Valentine nodded excitedly.
She shook James' shoulder, refraining from yelling out in joy at the fact Remus had finally decided to make a move.
James and Sirius ducked back towards the door, his eyes flashing left and right as Valentine watched, relying on the boys to inform them of what happened since the others couldn't see.
Sirius abruptly gasped and jerked back, hitting James and sending the two into a massive heap. Sirius, on top of James, quickly turned to share a look.
"They kissed!" James whisper-shouted excitedly, and Valentine's jaw dropped, not helping the squeal that pushed past her lips. Even Marlene and Macey, who we're farther from the door and resting against the railing, smiled happily.
"Remus snogged Lily?" Valentine confirmed.
James snorted, shaking his head. "Merlin, no. Lily kissed Remus. Moony's too indecisive to actually decide rather or not to actually kiss a girl."
Sirius clapped his hands against his cheeks dramatically, dragging his palms down his face. "Our Moony has grown up."
Sirius dramatically wiped non-existent tears from his cheeks, pretending to weep.
"We can hear you!" Remus announced from behind the door, causing Valentine, Sirius, and James to put on a face of innocence, pulling open the bedroom door to reveal a flushed Lily and triumphant Remus.
