Chapter 6- Poison

Chapter 6

Third Person

Hailey and Finn were laying on the metal beds, seizing significantly less than before. Clarke was rushing over to Finn to flip him over while Raven was standing still staring at the scene.

"Raven! There is fluid in his lungs, he could choke! Come over here! Quick!" Clarke shouted at Raven. She rushed over and helped roll him over on his side.

"He's burning up!" Clarke exclaimed.

Raven was confused about the fluid Clarke said was in his lungs."Fluid in his lungs, does that mean the knife-"

Raven started but was interrupted by Clarke, "No this isn't blood, it's something else. I-I did everything she told me." She stuttered out, confuzzled. Her face suddenly had a look of realization on it. "Wait, I've seen this before... shortness of breath, fever, seizing." Clarke looked up at Raven alarmed. "It's poison."

Raven stared at Clarke in disbelief. "But Clarke, you sterilized everything. I watched you do it!" She exclaimed.

Clarke looked down to the knife on the ground. She kneeled to the ground and grabbed it in her hand. "Not everything." She turned and started climbing up the ladder. "Stay here."

When Clarke got up to the second set of ladder she was seen by Octavia who came over to her and started talking.

"Clarke, they locked the hatch, you can't get up there." Clarke just pushed past her and kept climbing with Octavia right behind her.

"Hey! Open this door!" Clarke yelled to the people on the other side. She started banging on it. It only stopped when Miller opened the hatch door and Clarke pulled herself into the top level. "Get out of my way, Miller! Now!" She told him firmly, while trying to get past him.

"Miller, let her through." Bellamy ordered him. At his order Miller stepped out of the way and let Clarke through. She went immediately over to the grounder and demanded,

"What's on this?" Bellamy walked over to her side, confused. "What are you talking about?" He asked.

"He poisoned the blade! All this time he knew Finn was going to die no matter what we did!" Clarke exclaimed, angrily. "What is it?! Is there an antidote?" She was getting frustrated and impatient now.

With Raven, Hailey, and Finn on the main level

Raven was pacing around, anxious for Clarke to get back down hopefully with an antidote for the poison. Finn's breathing was slowing down by the minute while Hailey seemed to be getting better by the minute, which was odd and confusing to Raven. Raven had been pacing ever since Clarke went upstairs which was only about two minutes.

Suddenly Hailey started breathing faster and faster until she bolted upright with wide eyes full with fear and pain. As of seeing her Raven rushed over to Hailey and started ranting about something, but she was talking to fast so the only thing Hailey got out of it was two sentences:

'Clarke went upstairs.' and 'Grounder is up there too'

Hailey looked up weakly with a confused look on her face. "Wh-what g-grounder?" She asked, eagerly.

Raven stopped talking long enough to hear her. "Oh, it's the one that captured you and Octavia I think?" She explained. "And also I'm Raven if you wanted to know."

"Hi. C-can you help me u-up?" Hailey asked, weakly. Raven nodded and helped her up. Right away Hailey started to try and walk to the ladder but stumbled and fell over. She tumbled onto the ground and Raven rushed to her to help her back up.
