"Yay shopping!" Sheila cheered excitedly. She was wearing a charm given to all students to look more human. Her change isn't nearly as drastic as Vex's is without his charm, only her soft blue glow was missing.
Out of her uniform Sheila looked cute in a brown crop top and simple blue skinny jeans.
The weekend is the only time we're allowed to be out of our uniforms, and even then only if we're on our way off of campus.
Instead of a human form charm I just put in brown contacts.
My white off the shoulder shirt contrasted with my red hair and black jean shorts. We both wore our bands which will be stuffed into a pocket at the first chance.
"Sebastian are you done yet?" I called waiting impatiently.
"How do humans use hands? Zippers are impossible!" Sebastian answered in a scratchy human voice. I wanted to take him with me so I gave him my human form charm.
A loud familiar knock on the door drew my attention. I completely forgot to tell Vex we leave campus on weekends.
I opened the door for Vex smiling at him.
I haven't corrected him on what I am, and I'm not sure I ever will unless it's important.
"What are you ladies up to?" he asked looking at us curiously. He must be heading out too, he's wearing regular clothes. His red eyes were behind blue contacts, since charms can't completely control his bloodline.
"We're heading to the town nearby for some shopping. Wanna come with?" I asked knowing Sheila wouldn't mind. She's become good friends with Vex.
"I was going to ask if you guys wanted to go get ice cream in town," he admitted with a goofy smile.
I learned he intimidates people, so just like me has no friends. So we've all become close.
The bathroom door opened and Vex glared at Sebastian.
Sebastian is wearing the clothes I converted with magic for him, black shirt and black ripped jeans. With his long black hair and green eyes be looked a little emo but I figured since he's a black cat he might feel more comfortable with an all black outfit.
His charm sat outside his shirt only giving a little flash of red to his dark outfit. It was a nice contrast to his tan skin.
"Who are you?" Vex asked suspiciously. He stepped closer to Sebastian putting himself in front of me and Sheila.
"Isn't my familiar cute as a human?" Vex tensed at my question.
"Relax, she's not a furry," Sebastian said completely confident I wouldn't let Vex hurt him.
Quickly grabbing my phone and wallet I stuffed them into my pockets.
Cheerily walking down the halls we chatted animatedly while Sebastian watched our antics. Just like a regular cat Sebastian just quietly judges us most of the time.
"Race you out of school grounds," I challenged quickly shooting off.
"Hey!" They all cried indignantly chasing after me.
"Stop using my magic to run faster Sebastian!" I yelled not looking at him. Besides me he's the only one who would make me feel my magic being used.
We're all faster than any human so the long run to the school gates wasn't too bad. Once we get out of the gates it's a short walk to the town, but before the gates we don't need to act as humans.
I didn't win like I expected, Vex tied with me. Slightly panting I turned to watch Sebastian finish the run about a minute after Vex and me.
I used a gust of air to pick up Sheila and brought her towards us. The frightened shriek when I did hurt my ears.
