I stared at my classes, most of the magic classes taught here are defensive or how to hide powers. Mine aren't like that. Most of mine are about controlling and hiding your powers. Zero defense classes.
Then we have classes that are described as normal subjects, which they definitely are not.
I have control classes three out of five days and classes on blending in the other two. But it looks like I only have two magic classes a day. And the rest are magic classes they just barely manage to pass off as subjects like science and math.
Alchemy is not science and potion measuring is not practical math but they pretend it is.
I messed with my flying uniform. Except for weekends I have to wear it because of regular gym being replaced with flying class. Most students take self defense instead of gym but I guess the headmaster decided keeping me away from physical contact with people is important.
Probably smart.
"Stop fussing, you look fine," Sheila batted my hands away from my uniform. "I don't get where all that insecurity is coming from anyways, your bloodline makes it impossible for you to look bad."
"Well yeah, but," I looked at her annoyed face and stopped talking for a second. "Fine, I'm just nervous because everyone either saw or heard about Lilith. What if no one likes me?"
"People are drawn to you, just because the humans didn't understand your attitude doesn't mean we won't," she smiled and tried to use her charm to calm me down.
Smiling appreciatively at her I got back to doing my hair. I was putting it up in a braid so it wouldn't get tangled in flying class.
The braid thing turned out better for Katniss than for me, even braided my hair went to my mid back.
After lunch I talked to Mr. Jet and he told me all about my classes. The teachers have been thoroughly warned about my behavior and strongly advised about the type of people to keep away from me.
Which seems unnecessary to me but the headmaster has known me most of my life and seen me without the anti-magic rune. So I trust him.
I shook my shoulders out and checked my makeup. I'd done some simple mascara and pink lip gloss with just a tad of foundation. I've been at this school for a few days but it hasn't been important for people to like me until now.
What if we do a group presentation or project or something and no one will be my partner because I scare them? Or maybe I'll piss someone off and have to defend myself from them.
I put a small invisible barrier floor around my shoulders so Sebastian could easily move besides me. Apparently people almost stepped on him if he didn't stay within a foot of me.
Being so tuned into me he would know I put the barrier there without me saying anything.
Sebastian hopped onto my shoulder clearing the barrier which is enough to tell me he knows where it is. He laid partially on my shoulder and partially on the barrier.
I opened the door stepping out head held high.
Sheila gave me a small wave goodbye before stepping in the opposite direction. Our bloodlines are so different we only have one class together. Hers are mostly defense classes. She takes a class for controlling of elements because elemental bloodlines have a lack of control since emotions can trigger elements.
She didn't have to take a charm control class because she passed a practical test to prove she could control it.

I walked into third period almost visibly paling when I saw Vex. I really don't want people to find out what I am. Nobody treats you quite the same after they know you aren't like them.
