Possessive

I walked into my next class with Vex still at my side. Apparently we have the same charm control class after flying class so he walked with me.

"So then this guy who's been yelling at me for like a half hour finally realized I'm not the guy he thought I was, picked up his pants off the ground, and left without a word!" Vex told me the story animatedly while I laughed.

"Wait why was he not wearing pants again?" I interrupted trying not to laugh too hard.

"Unclear. Maybe he thought it was his shirt? Like you get into a fight and take your shirt off? He was definitely on something,"

Still giggling almost drunkenly I stumbled into class.

"Retra!" I snapped to attention at the female instructor's voice. "I need a display of your charm powers before I start working with you. Come up front for a demonstration."

Vex frowned making his way at a seat in the middle of the room while I obediently walked up to the front.

"Everyone put on the charms that prevent your immunity to charm spells. Who wants to volunteer so Retra can demonstrate her control?" Everyone put on a charm necklace from their desk on and one male student raised his hand.

Great a straight male. If I used all my power on him bad things would happen.

He stood patiently facing me as we both stood with our sides facing the class so they could see our facial expressions. I am so about to embarrass this guy.

"Try to use your full charm on him without affecting anyone else in this room," she instructed.

Awkwardly shuffling over to her I put us in a soundproofed box.

"I can't do that," I told her awkwardly shuffling my feet.

"Why not?"

"You'll see,"

I walked back to stand in front of the guy smiling apologetically at him.

I focused most of my power on him hearing everyone in the room either gasp or suck in a sharp breath. Which let me know my charm wasn't as aimed as I thought it was.

Glancing at the seats I saw most students struggling to stay in their seats and most of them have glowing eyes.

Watching their heavy breathing I curiously looked at Vex to watch his eyes turn completely black while the desk cracked under his fingers.

He yanked the charm off his neck panting. A small movement brought my eyes back to the guy in front of me.

He took a staggering step towards me reaching a hand out towards me. Considering I hadn't remotely encouraged it I must have hit him too strong. I glanced down, definitely used too much charm.

A soft growl, which I ignored as probably only a result of the charm in the air, seemed to catch a small amount of attention from the teacher.

When he ignored my step back I heard a loud growl startling me into turning my charm off. Vex stomped towards us looking livid. Everyone recoiled at the intense waves of power rolling off of him.

Even I was shocked, despite knowing his bloodline I've never felt so much power from him. But this rolled off him in waves hitting everyone in the room without mercy.

Only the teacher and I were strong enough not to cower away.

Trying aimlessly to calm him I set my hand on his shoulder feeling him stop moving towards the poor guy.

Vex pulled me into his side glaring at the man still staring lustful at me even with the charm turned off. Seeing that makes me feel a little less bad for him.
