a/n: Hi! I'm back! Here is a real chapter. Also, I remembered that this is suppose to be a Gravity falls/reverse falls fanfic so I tried to write more about the magic and monsters this chapter. Also, I wanted to get at least one chapter done before the end of 2021, so enjoy this chapter even though it's a little short!

I walked through the forest with the journal tucked under my arm. I trudged through the thick tree roots. I may or may not have tripped one too many times, but my fellow companions said nothing about it.

"Hey Pacifica? What were we looking for again?" Robbie was awkwardly following behind me, which was surprising seeing as he grew up in a family of lumberjacks. You'd think that someone who has been surrounded by the forest and wild animals since before they could walk would be comfortable with the outdoors.

A slow and annoyed voiced sighed, "Zombies or something stupid like that, babe. You asked like, five minutes ago." Wendy Corduroy, Robbie's girlfriend, explained as if she was talking to a toddler.

Black makeup, black choker with massive spikes and matching earrings, and an oversized black hoodie with a broken heart across her chest. Wendy and Robbie were polar opposites, but seemed to love each other nonetheless.

"O-oh, right. Sorry." Robbie stammered out, adjusting his glasses as a rosy hue colored his cheeks. Wendy muttered something inaudible, and placed a kiss on Robbie's cheek, turning his rosy hue to the same shade as a rose.

Do you think anyone saw the rose Dipper gave you?  The annoying part of my brain asked.

Shut up,  I replied.

"Hey Blondie! Do these things even exist? Because you're beginning to sound like that Gleeful kid." Ah. Even the people that don't know about Dipper's constant flirting have to remind me about him.

You were already thinking about him.

"Um, babe, I don't think that Pacifica knows who they are," Robbie mumbled. Oh if only he knew. I knew the Gleefuls very well, thank you very much.

I opened up the book again. I knew that we were close to the cemetery, but not exactly sure how close. But I was sure that I was close. I was sure.

Or at least, I was pretty sure.

Ok, so I may have had my doubts, but it was near.

About 5 minutes later, I realized that I was most definitely lost. I squinted at the map inside the journal.

"I swear it's somewhere here..." I mumbled under my breath, "But where is it?"

"Oh my god," I heard an exasperated sigh behind me, which belonged to the one and only Wendy, "Of course you would lead us into a full circle."

I looked up to see... the Mystery Shack, standing in all of its glory.

Ah, shoot.

"Sorry..." I mumbled under my breath.

"Sorry doesn't cut it goldilocks. I wasted like, half an hour because of this stupid goose chase!" Wendy snapped, and proceeded to walk away. Robbie started to run after her, only briefly turning to mouth 'sorry' and disappearing down the path.

I sighed and walked inside of the Mystery shack. How could my day get any worse?

a/n: Happy new year everyone! I genuinely can't believe that it's almost 2022, hopefully the next year is good! Thanks for reading and please star and comment.
