My life began with what felt as if I was in a void, pure darkness surrounds me as far as my eyes can see. The stench of sweat swarms my senses, clinging to my dry throat. My mind was a blank canvas, devoid of any thoughts, and any information of my location or even who I was.

Then came a sound, a loud halt, following a whirring sound causing my eardrums to tremble. Wherever I was, started moving. Lights began flashing before my eyes as the somewhat of a box slowly moved upwards, advancing into a faster pace. I attempt to take in my surroundings, walls surrounding me, somewhat of a small cage, as if I'm a trapped animal. Boxes stacked in each corner rattle to the ascendency of the cage.

Confusion floods my very few thoughts. What seems like an elevator of sorts fray my nerves, sending bouts of nausea to my cramping stomach.

The only type of thoughts swimming through my brain are all questions beginning with who? what? and why?

My heart skips a beat, the pace of my breath begins to pick up, like I'm running a race. Water unintentionally begins to form in my irises, not long after taking a fall down my heated cheeks.

After what seemed like a minute or so the cage comes to a stop, silence filling the room, it honestly feels too quiet- Immediately after that thought, an unexpected roaring beeping noise fills my eardrums, causing me to flinch.

My heart feels like it's going to explode out of my chest.

Above me I can hear a screeching noise as two doors begin to slide open to the sides. Sunlight fills the cage, causing my eyes to squint to the sight, my arm immediately jumping up to shield my eyes

"Another girl." the voice was deepened, growing more and more surprised with each word.

Dozens of voices sourcing from a crowd of men surrounding the opening above me began invading my hearing. I could merely make out what half of them were saying, as I am too distraught to comprehend a single thing at this moment.

I slowly move my arm away from my face, my eyes continue to squint as I attempt to make out the blurry picture that stands above me.

I turn my head to see a rope thrown into the cage I am trapped in. I gaze at the rope, refusing to take my eyes off of it.

"Hop on. We'll lift ya' up." One of the men said.

I look back up at him, furrowing my eyebrows in confusion.

What is going on? Is the only thought crossing my mind.

"We ain't got all day, shank." The man exclaims, his tone growing angrier, the crowd continues to snicker and gossip following his words.

Shank? seriously, what? I thought.

I advance forward from my originally curled up position. I attempt to slowly get on my feet. Still crouched on the floor, I place my foot on the rope, gripping both of my hands onto it.

The rope jolts, hoisting me up from the box, finally escaping out into the outside world, or so I think is the outside world.

The boys begin to surround me as I'm on my knees, head facing the floor. Constantly commenting snarky remarks, or just plain giggling. please, help me.

I look up, trying to get off on my feet, trembling a little like a porcelain doll. Eyebrows still furrowed, looking up at all the men inches-and some feet taller than me.

I see a figure begin to approach me through the crowd, he towers over me, intimidating me, causing me to break a little sweat.

Not like I've already done enough of that.
