I pick up the sound of knocking echoing throughout my room as I lay on my bed. I shoot up from my position.

"Yeah?" I ask.

The door cracks open, "You naked?" I hear Amelia's voice mumble.

"No." I scoff, shooting her a smile as she walks in.

Amelia sighs and mirrors my smile, "Always ask if they're naked before you walk in the boys rooms."

My eyes widen, "What? Has it happened to you?" I giggle.

She looks down, raising her eyebrows with a playful expression planted on her face. I smirk as she looks back up at me.

"It's nice to see you feeling better, you were trembling in my arms earlier." She cheers. I send a fake smile and return my gaze to the floor, my previous thoughts entering my head again.

"Hey," She states, causing my attention to turn back to her, "It happened to all of us, I understand how you're feeling." Amelia reports. She doesn't get it, she can't possibly understand the dread feeling that's sticking to my nerves. All she wants is someone to relate to so she doesn't feel alone, I just want someone to trust and someone to listen to me. We are not the same person.

"The bonfire will cheer you up. The boys are literally dying to meet you, come on." She grins, waving for me to get up. I slowly stand from the bed and pat my long hair down for a moment.

"I'm scared." I mumble, staring at her. The intimidation of the large group of men, and the void feeling in my stomach refusing to escape my body is not a good combination.

"Please, they're not scary in the slightest. You can't take them seriously, honestly you probably intimidate them." Amelia assures. It helped, knowing that I caused an effect on the men, but I can't remember my last decent interaction with someone so my fears should be understandable.

"I'm so nervous, oh my god." I exclaim, walking forward and following behind her as we walk out of the tiny hut. The light fresh breeze flies in our faces as we step out in the grass, one of the most harmonious senses I've felt so far.

Amelia grabs a hold of my arm while smirking, "Don't be so tense, they'll love you. Can you imagine how I felt? A hopeless girl surrounded by all these sloppy men." She scoffs.

I grin as we walk towards the horde of men crowding around each other in large cliques, conversing with one another.

"When did you get here?" I question, closing the space between my eyebrows.

She sighs, turning her stare away from me, "I was the third one up, Alby was the first. I helped him establish a lot of the rules."

"Who was the second?" I asked.

"Newt, He's second in command. He helped too but mostly rules for the runners. I helped to keep things at peace y'know? He was the first runner here." She states. I nod slowly in response.

We finally approach the scene of boys, most of them hollering at us while we enter. Amelia giggles as a few boys come to her, removing her grasp from my arm as she begins to converse with them.

"You remember ya' name green bean?" One of the men asked me. I shake my head, standing awkwardly next to Amelia. For such a short little girl, she stands really tall.

"These assholes are the runners I told you about. That's Minho, Ben, and Newt." She informs, grasping the back of my shoulder to grab my attention.
