I lay on the bed in a pair of basketball shorts and a training bra. My belly sticks out and I stare at it. Seven months pregnant with someone's twins. Chris is out with Ricky getting stuff for when they come. Clothes, their beds, bottles, and pacifiers. Yesterday we all went to see what their sex was for the first time. I was too scared before but Chris' mom talked me into it. Tomorrow Chris and I are going to go away for a few days by ourselves. We haven't been as close as normal and decided that we need to be alone together. Away from everyone and all the bullshit drama. Ryan walks into my room and smiles at me.
"Hey Eleanor. Do you want any lunch?" I nod and he comes further into the room. "What do you want?"
"Bacon with chocolate," I whisper. He chuckles and leaves the room. I hear the door bell ring and Ryan answers it. Brandon walks in the room with a giant stuffed panda bear. I sit up carefully and he sits with me on the bed.
"Hey sis. I know you have been feeling down lately. So I went and bought you a giant panda. The zoo wouldn't give me a real one so I got the next thing." He gives me the bear and I hug it tightly.
"Thanks Brandon. I have been out of it lately. This means a lot." He nods and rubs his hands on his knees.
"What are your babies?" He asks. I touch my belly with a smile.
"Boy and girl. Chris wants our son to be named Nikolas. With a k not a c. We haven't decided on the girl name yet."
"I like that. Nick Motionless." I laugh and shake my head at the thought of him and Chris on stage. Brandon smiles fully and touches my leg. "There you go. We've missed your laugh around here."
"I'm sure it will come back once Chris and I are back from our trip. What is your opinion on what the girl name should be?" Brandon bites his bottom lip and scratches his beard. I watch him think in silence until he shrugs.
"What are your opinions," he asks.
"Well I was thinking something delicate and pretty. Like an old name. Like how mine is Eleanor. It's an old name."
"How about Adalynn?" I smile; so hard my cheeks hurt.
"That's perfect. Oh my god!
