Chapter 5 Pt 2- missing party members

I had ran into Osamu on the second floor. Saying that his brother had run off to go get a snack. I told Osamu about Kuroo and Bokuto and he said to let Atsumu know when i see him. Next odd I went upstairs to where Tendou was. But when i got there, he looked panicked.

Unlike his usual self, he was pacing back and forth and rubbing the back of his hand. I'm guessing it might have been a habit for when he's nervous, but I haven't really known him that long. So I can't tell.

But, it hurt seeing him like that. He's usually so full of energy and ready take on anything. So what had made him like this..?

"Tendou, what's wrong?"

"Oh! Y/n-chan!"

He told me about Ushijima had gone to get some water from the kitchen. But he's been gone for quite a while. I told Tendou about the casino and music room and about how everyone was currently in the canteen. We agreed that we could ask everyone for help in searching for Ushijima and so we started making our way down. Hoping to run into either him or Atsumu on the way down.

After not seeing either of them, we eventually arrived at the canteen. Bokuto wa busy digging into some left overs from breakfast. Whilst Kuroo and Osamu we're talking about very random things. Such as what people outside might be doing right now, or how the local businesses we're doing without Osamu. Who would buy out their entire stock on onigiri every week.

They were all having a good time, so I felt slightly bad about what I was going to have to break to them. But it was an important matter of business. I can't leave this issue in the dust just because their having fun...

"Umm hey guys, we have a slight emergency..."

I explained to them about Ushijima going missing, and Osamu said that something similar had happened to Atsumu. With neither of them being found, we needed a way to search for them without splitting up.

There were a lot of rooms in the school. If we spent time searching every single one of them, by the time wr found the two of them it's possible that the worst would have already occurred... But how do we even begin to think of ways to do that.

Eventually we decided that we had no other choice but to split up. As much as i hated the decision to do so.

I got assigned to the first floor again. Whilst Kuroo and Bokuto split up on the second floor, and Tendou and Osamu split up on the third.

There were a lot more classrooms in the first floor. But still I tried my best to search them all as fast as I could.

"USHIJIMA!!! ATSUMU!!! ARE YOU THERE!!"

I started off on the left side, and slowly began working my way to the right side if the door was open I would go inside and check everything I could before moving onto the next one. Closets, desks, behind objects. I'm pretty sure I ruined alot of the classrooms.

I doubt they'll ever be used again, so I just went ham. Throwing what I could in an attempt to find them, or alert them to where I was.

"ARE YOU GUYS THERE! COME ON ANSWER ME!"

There was still no reply. And I wasnt even half way done with the classrooms yet. The method I was using was a bit time consuming but what if i missed them? I couldn't risk that.

When i was near the cafeteria I quickly ran inside to check if maybe they had been in there the whole time. They did say they were going to go get a drink and snacks after all. But there was no sign of either of them. The place was empty. And we were going to use that room as well so I had to tidy up after myself which just wasted more time.

'Dammit...where the hell are they?'

Once I was sur they weren't in there I left. Only to run into Tendou on my way out.

"Tendou! Are you ok?! Did you find them?!"

"I actually came here to ask you that..."

I had to give him the bad news about me not seeing them anywhere just yet. And at this point in time I was exhausted. I'm no volleyball player, I don't have the stamina that these guys do... And it seemed like Tendou had noticed..

"Uhh you wait here for a minute. I'll go check the rest of the floor"

"Are you sure..?"

"Positive! Just wait here and calm down!"

And with that he left. I sighed and sat down on one of the chairs to catch my breath. The worry was starting to get to me now.

But it was also at that moment that I realised something strange. Something different... Because up till this point... We havent-

"Wow you all seem very on edge-"

"M-MONOMOLTEN?!"
