"Ah, sure...thanks." I said, this was actually Harry Potter!
I had to breath for a second, the Boy who fricking Lived was heaving up my trunk! This was the guy that saved the WORLD from He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named! Well really, he was just a baby when it happened...but he was hero nonetheless! He carried my trunk towards one of the rowboats and asked, "Why wasn't your trunk carried off like everyone else's?".
I honestly had no idea. Maybe it was because I had left the train on the opposite side of everyone else? "I don't have a clue", I replied. Way to look dumb in front of Harry Potter.
Looking at him, I didn't really get why all the people on the train were very observant of him. He looked like a regular kid, well, minus the scar on his forehead. He had dorky round glasses and was awfully skinny. You couldn't tell from the looks of him that he had "defeated" You-Know-Who when he was just a little kid.
We'd all grown up hearing this kid's story, his parents dying, Lord Voldemort losing his power, and most importantly of all, him surviving. I suppose that just his backstory was enough to get people on the Hogwarts Express goggling their eyes at him. Potter had it bad, honestly, people knowing his name before he even stepped inside Hogwarts...
I looked towards the other rowboats and realized he had left. He was in a rowboat with Ron Weasley, at least I assumed he was Ron Weasley due to his red hair and freckles. Their family lived quite near to ours in Otter St. Catchpole, but I barely knew any of them. Ginny Weasley could be quite nice, but she wasn't entering school till next year.
My contemplation was interrupted by Hagrid, who in his gruff voice called, "Alright, Firs' Years, row forwards!". I scrambled for my oars and started rowing, it was tough work, especially since no one else was on my boat, not counting Lilibeth.
I rowed, gripping my hands tightly to the oars. Everyone was scanning the land for a glimpse of Hogwarts...when would we see the beauty that would be our home for the next years to come? As we kept rowing, I heard some kid yell, "There!". We all spun our heads to look at where he was pointing and then we saw it...Hogwarts.
Hogwarts was really as beautiful as everyone had ever told me. It had spiraling turrets going all the way to the sky, large, mysterious windows, and looked like...home. It was an inexplicable feeling, but I could feel that this...this was home.
