❅◐𝗔𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗿𝗮'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩◑❅
I turned to find all my friends waving at me to come back. My lips uplifted into a smile before taking a U-Turn.
"My all passengers for flight 702 please make their way to the plane," the PA system announced as my feet nevertheless led me to where my friends and Claire were waiting. Sarah followed closely behind.
"Hey guys," I gave them a slightly confused look as to what they were doing here when they were supposed to be at school.
"We just couldn't let you go Aurora, that's how much we love you." Serena ran towards me before wrapping her arms around my neck.
"You're not going back, not on our watchm" Jonah crossed his arms as I laughed.
"But the environment is toxic for m-"
"Someone has something to say." Zack said whilst pushing someone to the front. I realized that it was Camille and this time she was clad in an oversized hoodie and joggers. She gave me a look full of regret and guilt.
"Um, Aurora- I... Gosh I can't do this," she covered her face before swerving to leave but Corey gripped her small arm and pushed her back to the front, not caring if she were his best friend.
"Get on with it." Claire snapped her fingers impatiently.
"I'm so sorry Aurora, for what I did. I didn't really mean to get you hurt or to put you in such a vulnerable position. I let my emotions get the best of me and I wish I hadn't, I don't know what I can do for you to forgive me for all the bad things I impulsively said. None of those things I said were intentional and I hope you find it in your heart to pardon me for that. I'm ashamed of myself and I am deeply sorry." She looked at the floor, avoiding my gaze. I took a short while, pondering on whether I should let it go or not.
"It's okay Camille. I'm still unsatisfied but I forgive you because no one deserves to have a grudge held against them," I smiled slightly as her face slowly lit up.
"Aaw thank goodness. You're amazing, I'm sorry again. I promise I will never say anything insensitive ever again. I've learnt my lesson," she wiped the stray tears that had escaped her eyes.
"It would make me happy." I exhaled.
"Can I get a hug?" Camille outstretched her hands as a warmth unfurled in my gut. Seeing Camille be so nice to me literally made me feel so ebullient and elated.
"Yes." I opened my own arms and she didn't waste time in wrapping hers around me. It was a warm but shocking gesture. I squeezed her lightly as all our friends including Claire and Sarah applauded at the reconciliation.
"No more leaving for you miss Princess Disney," she put her arm around my shoulder as Corey and Zack took my suitcases.
"Yeah. Are we still going to school after?" I questioned but she shook her head.
"We were excused from our classes for the rest of the day." Serena informed me whilst putting her arm around my waist.
I got into the limo along with Claire, Sarah, Camille and Serena whilst the rest of the people went into the other cars. It feels so good to be happy.

After I had packed my stuff back where they belonged, I took a nice hot shower to get rid of the sweat and changed into some white joggers with a white t-shirt then a matching Champion hoodie on top.
I brushed through the knots in my long dark hair before putting it into a neat bun. Afterwards, I put some fluffy bunny shoes on then went downstairs. It was 3 in the afternoon so Serena and friends were still around.
"Today is a good day to practise for our duet on Wednesday," Corey said to me once I had reached the bottom.
"I had completely forgotten about that! Mrs. Vergara might as well demote me." I laughed and he joined me.
"No you're good. You were already dealing with some stuff so it makes sense," he shrugged nonchalantly as I stared at his stupidly handsome face. My memory was bad but I hadn't forgotten what had transpired yesterday.
"Yeah. I found the music studio down that hallway so let's go." I waved my hand before leading the way.
We got into the room and set the equipment up. I also warmed up as Corey fixed the guitar as usual. We sat on the stools next to each other.
"So, which song are we picking?" he gave me an expectant look whilst I tapped my chin in thought.
"I'm not sure but I saw this beautiful duet of a song by Leona Lewis and Calum Scott-"
"You Are the Reason. It's an amazing song," he interjected, making me gasp in surprise.
"You know it?"
"Yes. I wanted to perform it with the previous captain but she said it was too harmonious. The notes were too hard for her to hit." He smirked whilst moving to the piano.
"I've been practising for a long time. Let's get started." I cleared my throat as he tested put the keys. After he had gotten the keys right, I let him sing the first verse.
"There goes my heart beating
'Cause you are the reason
I'm losing my sleep
Please come back now" I gasped at how amazing his voice was.
He was probably the best male singer I had heard in real life. Now I fully understood why he was a captain. I was so amazed I had even forgotten to sing my verse.
"Sorry, you're just so good," he laughed at my statement with a head shake.
"Thanks. Let's continue from where we left off." Corey began to play the piano again.
"There goes my mind racing
And you are the reason
That I'm still breathing
I'm hopeless now" I sang before taking a breath.
"I'd climb every mountain
And swim every ocean
Just to be with you
And fix what I've broken
Oh, 'cause I need you to see
That you are the reason" I smiled widely at how great we sounded and how we sang on perfect sync.
The sound of hands clapping interrupted us and we simultaneously turned our heads to face some of our friends standing at the doorway.
"You guys deserve to be big celebrity singers!" Serena was the first to enter the room.
"I literally thought Ariana Grande was in the house!" Isaac shrieked as they surrounded us. Both Camille and Jenevive weren't present as usual. I hadn't seen Jenevive ever since the coincidence and I wasn't planning to.
"We all know I'm not that goo-"
"Shut up girl, you are." Sabrina slapped my arm.
"Please sing us a song, I have the perfect one in my mind." Jenny nudged the both of us. Maybe coming back was a good thing after all.
