I woke up and just when I had registered what was happening and where I was, I took a large breath of relief. Living in an abusive foster home made you often wake up in places you had never fallen asleep in, in the first place.

"Camille? It's morning now, we have to prepare for school," I nudged her lightly as she groaned slowly.

"I'm not going to school today, I don't want to face anyone yet," she mumbled before pulling the covers over her head.

"Don't tell me that you're going to let those two get to you" I pulled my hair up into a loose bun before continuing, "life happens and it's not always going to go the way that you want it to but you have to pick yourself up."

"I'll go tomorrow. My head is aching and it's not really sensible to go to school when I won't be able to do so much as concentrate," she replied lazily.

"Fine, I'll give you the notes of whatever subject I would have done that you also do." I slipped out of the bed before stretching my body.

"Tell Corey to visit me later." Was the last thing she said to me as I exited the room.

I got back to my room then texted Serena a 'good morning' message. She immediately responded back and we spent the next few minutes discussing about what color she was going to choose for her hair accessories. Afterwards, I went into the bathroom and carried out my usual routine. I slipped my uniform on then grabbed my bags after briefly combing through my dark hair and applying some lip gloss.

Rob was already waiting outside once I had finished my breakfast so I greeted him as usual then settled in the car. The trip to school didn't take that much time and thankfully I made it there on time. I met Serena in the hallways, who already had her thick English literature books tucked under her arm.

"Where's the drama queen today?" Serena popped a mint into her mouth as I retrieved my books from my locker.

"She's not feeling well. She didn't want to come today," I simply replied.

"Mmm, fair enough. Even I wouldn't show up if I heard that you had gone behind my back with my boyfriend." I turned to face her with wide eyes.

"So I'm your best friend?" I gave her a wide smile.

"Did I have to spell that out? I thought it was pretty obvious," she smirked at me.

"Aaw! Okay fine." I grinned before hooking my arm with hers and walking to the English class. As soon as we entered, I found Jenevive and Zack sitting together in the back. A part of me wanted to go and scream at them for hurting my sister but another part of me didn't. A part of me felt that Camille needed that wake up call. To know how it feels to get hurt and feel mentally physically and emotionally exhausted.

"The audacity," Serena gasped quietly as she noticed them.

"I see why Camille decided not to come. I'm sure she knows how much nerve her former best friend has." I settled at my usual seat and so did Serena.

"A heartless person that she is," Serena scoffed before taking a glimpse at the couple, "I hate to admit it but they look so happy together."

"Maybe it's just a façade, who knows?" I shrugged my shoulders and Serena hummed in response.

"Or maybe they are glad they cut Camille off."

I watched in amusement as Corey dribbled the ball past probably the 20th person that day. He was undeniably good at playing soccer, it put the rest of the players to shame. His body was vigilant and his consistency levels were probably 1000/10. His black tank showed off his large tanned muscular arms. Look at something else Aurora.
