"Serena, are you actually coming over?" I balanced the phone between my ear and shoulder.
"Yeah. Mason is literally driving me," her voice was full of excitement.
"I thought you were joking," I faked a laugh.
"Nope. I brought me and you some really cute outfits- well Mason doesn't like pictures and I do plus, he doesn't like wearing dresses but I do." She said it all in one breath.
"Fine. You can come anyways. Camille is going to be asleep the whole day," I pushed my french doors open.
"Okay. I hope you don't mind but my stupid and overprotective brother is going to be around," I could already imagine her glaring at him.
"I don't mind," I laughed heartily as I heard a smack from the other end of the line.
"Okay talk later, bye."
"Bye." I cut the call before placing my phone on the nightstand so that I could brush through my unruly hair. I jumped from fright when the door was barged open.
"Aurora, are you coming to school to do some cheerleading? And support Mr. Detroit?" Camille skipped into my room before flinging her petite body onto my freshly made bed. She was dressed in her white tennis outfit along with some brand new matching sneakers, her blonde hair tied into a neat bun.
"I can't. Serena is coming over," I tied my hair into a high ponytail.
"Ugh really? But why- cheerleading is fun when you're there," she pouted childishly.
"Let me guess, you don't want to deal with Jenevive today." I smirked as Camille quickly sat up.
"If I had the power to eliminate her from the team-"
"No Cam. You shouldn't think like that, just pretend as though she weren't there alright? You'll be fine." I smiled before tapping her shoulder.
"Or maybe I should just quit the team, see how she likes that-"
"Come on Camille, you're not that weak are you? I know you're not so just do you, don't worry about it. If she bothers you, Corey will be around to back you."
"Whatever. I'll see you later today, it's a shame you won't be able to come for lunch with the squad." She smirked whilst picking her tennis racket. She did a lot of sports and was barely home or spent majority of her time at the courts or in the pool.
"Maybe, but we can always join you later." I shrugged my shoulders.
"Okay. I'll text you the details," she sighed before leaving my room.
After making sure everything was okay, I made my way down the stairs to the kitchen. There I found Claire, appareled in a white Chanel suit and some designer red-bottomed stilettos. Her hair was straightened to perfection and her makeup was on point. She looked ritzy and stylish everyday.
"Good morning. Going somewhere?" I questioned her and her attention was diverted from the bag she was packing.
"Good morning love. Yes, I'm going for brunch with the other ladies." She smiled widely before beckoning me for a hug. Her strong signature perfume filled my nostrils as she wrapped her arms tightly around me. She was an affectionate person and that was one prominent quality of hers.
"That's good. Serena is coming over, I hope you don't mi-"
"Not at all sweetie. You can invite whoever you want," she squeezed my shoulder gently before putting some dark shades over her eyes, "I'll be back later tonight. You and Camille are free to go out for dinner or you can ask Maria to prepare something for you. Stay safe," she kissed my forehead gently before leaving.
