I set my Mac laptop on my desk, along with my thick History textbook and notebook. I also had a clear bottle of water by my side so that I'd be able to concentrate.

Life here had evidently become better than before now that Camille was learning to mind her own business and to just to say minimal words. We had just become civil with each other but not close sisters.

I spent the next few hours reading and writing my notes since I had a test the next day. I was always like that.

I somehow planned to do something, for example studying, weeks before a test but always ended up doing it last minute because of my procrastination. Despite telling myself that I'd start being completely serious, my lazy side decides to kick in.

3 hours later, I sleepily checked the clock which read 3AM. I knew I was not going to concentrate in class later today but at least I had crammed some knowledge.

After lifting myself from my chair with much difficulty, I flopped onto the bed and pulled the covers onto my body before drifting off to sleep.

[A Few Hours Later]

I felt something small hit my face but I brushed it off and nevertheless continued dreaming. I felt it again and this time I opened my eyes.

My cheeks went bright as I realized that I was in my Geography class, peacefully dozing the lesson away.

"I'm sure you guys are 17 to 18 years and certainly don't need your parents telling you to go and sleep at 8 o'clock. Let's be self-disciplined class." The teacher raised her glasses after indirectly embarrassing me.

"Jeez, you sleep like a rock Aurora. I literally thought you were on sedatives," Corey looked at me in amusement as I rubbed my drooping eyes.

"I spent the whole night studying," I yawned quietly whilst stretching my hands.

"At least this is the last lesson. We have about 3 minutes left." he checked the silver watch on his wrist.

"That's a lot. I could have done something so useful in 180 seconds." I mumbled as I gathered my books before packing them into my bag.

"I'm sure you would have. So what time are you free for us to have a practice session?" Corey clasped his hands together.

Ever since Mrs. Vergara acknowledged how phenomenal we sounded as a duo, she let us perform during the school assembly every 2 weeks.

"Umm, I'm free on Friday as usual," I shrugged my shoulders.

"Aaaw shucks, I have soccer practice till late this Friday because of the upcoming game," his smile faltered in realization.

"Oh. That sucks but, I can wait for you." My eyes lit up in return.

"That's if you won't get bored-"

"I literally watch soccer with Walter every Friday and Saturday night. I even know a few things about it," my lips uplifted into a cocky smirk as he chuckled.

"If you say so." We both got up once the class was dismissed. It had been the moment I had been waiting for.

All I could think about was getting home, eating something delicious, taking a swim then watching Netflix until I fell asleep. I internally squealed, eager to get home and it was going to be even better since I had no homework.

"Camille and Jenevive are literally fighting in the Cafeteria! I'm going to watch!" two girls ran past us, causing me to fall frontwards but Corey caught me on time. Not my skin burning from the effect.
