The War That Never Ends

The Questioning

Rosalina stays by Leo's side waiting for him to wake up. Leo has been out for 8 straight days. She sits next to him with tears filling her eyes. "Why did I do this? It's all my fault. He may never wake up. And it's all my fault." Rosalina cries out. Later in the night Rosalina falls asleep sitting next to Leo. "What's going on? Where am I? Why does my stomach hurt?" Leo says to himself. He starts to move but the searing pain causes him to roll over and fall on the floor. Rosalina wakes up when she hears the thud. She looks at the bed and Leo is gone. She looks at the floor and sees him. She gets up quickly and tries to help him up. "Are you ok?" Rosalina asks. "I'm fine." Leo says. "I'm sorry this is all my fault." Rosalina says. "No it's not. You weren't the one to go down there yourself, you were taken." Leo says. Rosalina sits with tears in her eyes. "Wait I have a question. Why did you step in front of the fireball?" Rosalina asks. "What do you mean why? That demon may be a demon but it's still living and plus that's my family of course I'm gonna protect them." Leo says. "But demons don't care. They let each other die. It's always been every demon for themselves. "Rosalina says. "Well if you can't tell, I'm not a demon." Leo says. "What do you mean? What are you if your not a demon?" Rosalina asks. "Honestly. I have no clue what I am. I'm not sure anyone does." Leo says. "How are you sure you aren't a demon?" Rosalina asks. "I have.... feelings. Is that what they are called?" Leo asks. "Yes, but how do you know you have all of them like happiness, anger, sadness, or love?" Rosalina asks. Leo looks down. "What can I say, I have "feelings" for her, I don't think I could say that. I think I'll just say it's a gut feeling." Leo thinks to himself. Before Leo can say anything a bright light engulfs him and Rosalina.
