Chapter Eleven

Screaming at the top of my lungs didn't last long.. The big guy quickly covered my mouth roughly, as the scrawny guy gave me a warning. So I stood there silently crying wishing so badly that I had listen to Darek the first time. Well iv learnt my lessons. They both start walking me towards the dark and dingy alley way. My heart starts to race and I'm shaking. I'm just hoping Darek comes out and sees before anything worse starts to happen.

Just before I could finish my thought process the rusted grey door slams opened startling all three of us. The two men back me up further into the alley way making it hard to see who it is. The light up above giving next to no light, giving the person a Silloete. But I instantly new who it was by his stance, and from the looks of it he was angry. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, feeling safe again, but also feeling silly for not listening in the first place.

Darek strolls towards us slowly, his fist clenched tight by his sides. When he speaks it sounds like his jaw is clenched tightly. He gets close enough that you could just make out his face.

"I wouldn't do anything stupid if I were you" he say with confidence. The two guys just laugh as if he told a joke. The big guy speaks up. "Ha I don't think we are the ones that should be worried." Darek just stands there showing no emotion. The scrawny guy suddenly pulls my hair forcing my head further back hurting my scalp. I whimper in pain as more tears run down my face. He brushes my hair to the side revealing my neck. "As I see it she's free range, she was out here all by herself. And I got to say she smells really good." He says leaning in closer towards my neck. I try to move away but there no point. The big guy grunts in agreement.

Darek visibly tenses and his knuckles go whiter. In a strain voice he says. "If you don't remove your dirty fucking hands off of her, your going to wish you never came across the both of us." The scrawny guy leans closer into me making Darek take another step forward. "Get any closer fanger and you'll be good as dead." Scrawny guy looks into Dareks eyes and licks my neck. I cringe in fear feeling violated. And that's when everything happened so fast.

The next thing I know I'm being knocked into the brick wall with so much force it almost winded me. I already feel bruises and bumps forming all over, but I don't feel pain due to the adrenaline. I look up to see that Darek has taken out both men in a flash as if they were nothing. He looks over at me and his face changes from anger to sympathy instantly. He slowly walk over to me and helps me stand up from the ground. I lose my balance for a minute but Darek has a good hold on my and let's me lean into him. My body is trembling with after shock. " what happened to staying home where it is safe?" He ask in a calm voice but hearing it just makes me brake down and cry, he holds me tighter against him " I..I.. I'm sorry I know I should have listened." But before I could finish he cuts me off. "It's okay don't say no more, I can tell you've learnt your lesson. And I'm sorry you had to experience that." He says while rubbing my arm.

He holds me at arms length to look me over and make sure I'm okay. His eyes are tight around the edges and he's still tense from the fight. I smile a little after calming down. "I know your meant to protect me, but i still want to say thanks for being here for me, I know it sounds silly because I particularly walked into this one. But I honestly thought I was a goner." I take a shaker deep breath and shiver when the cold wind gets stronger. " don't worry, I will never let anything happen to you if I can help it, now lets go home where it's warm." He grabs my hand in his in a firm but gentle grip, and walks us out of the alley way. I don't bother looking back knowing the body's are no longer there, and smiling to myself, feeling safe once again and thinking about what Darek had said, making my heart flutter.

As we walk I look up into the clear dark blue sky and look at the starts and for once enjoying the wind blow by through my hair, and enjoying the warmth coming from Dareks hand.
