Chapter six
I walk outside down the stairs from the club, Letting the nice cool air surround me. The air is still crisp as fall turns to winter fast. Luckily for me the rain has stopped, making it easier for me to walk on the dry pavement. I walk further up the brick pathway to the main road, the music from the club starts to fade away.
I pull out my cell phone and call for a taxi, which in this city they say 15 minutes when actually they mean 20 minutes to a half hour. I hear a scuffling noise to my right in one of the side alleys, the street lamp is to dim for me to see anything, so I keep walking but the noise happens again accept this time it's closer then before, I look over my shoulder still nothing or no one. I shake off my nerves knowing I'm close to the main road and continue on but instead of walking I trip over a loose stone and slightly fall forward and land on my knees. "Shiahh" before I can finish swearing a hand covers my mouth preventing me from screaming and another arm around my waist pulling me towards the dark alley way.
I try and escape and wiggle out if the strangers grasp but they are to strong.
The stranger drags me further into the alley so no one can see us, my heels fell off leaving them behind, and me with sore scratches up my feet. My body is shaking in fear and tears are running down my face making my makeup streak down and blacken my cheeks. Once we are far enough in the alley the man leans his head down to my ear.
In a raspy voice "You'll be smart enough not to make any noise. If you scream, I will kill you right here and now. Shake your head if you understand." I shake my head doing as he says. He roughly grabs my purse from my arm and Empty's it, finding my cell phone.
"I think I'll be holding this for now" and puts it in his back pocket. "Now I'm going to remove my hand from your mouth, and remember do not make a noise." He does what he says but instead of stepping back he stays where he is he moves a piece if hair out of my eyes. A look if hunger in his eyes, I felt disgusted.
I try and look away but he pushes me up against the wall roughly my head hits the brick alley and I cringe in pain. "Why are you doing this... What do you want from me" my voice cracking. He grabs my chin roughly making me look at him. "I told you not to make any noises, that includes you talking, unless your talked to!" My body continues to shake with fear and the feeling of the cold breeze of the night. I wished then that I had never left by myself and just waited until they were all ready to go.
I feel more tears threatening to spill and a feeling of loss hope of anyone finding me on time. "And to answer your questions, your very important person and me being important as the bosses right hand man, he sent me to go and fetch you and bring you to him... Unharmed." I look at him confused. "I think you have the wrong person" regretting opening my mouth right then, as his right back hand connects with my cheek, I slouch over due to shock and grab my already bruised cheek.
He smiles but his eyes are hollow. "I'll just say you fe" before he could finished some dark shadow came out if nowhere and threw him back up against the wall at the far end of the alley with great strength, knocking the man out cold. I stand there stunned not sure if I should run and scream or try and disappear in the brick wall some how.
But before I could think any further the shadow of the man comes closer giving me a chance to get a better look at him. I strange feeling forms in the pit of my stomach again but it's stronger this time. Like tingles shooting through my veins and I full a strong pull. There's that feeling again I think to myself with a look if confusions and more fear of the unknown.
The man just stands there and stairs as me, looking into my eyes as if he can see me perfectly clear. I slowly move my hand up to my cheek feeling the ache of the after math of the hit. When he speaks his voice is so deep but smooth with a little rasp to it. "Are you okay?" He ask I let my hand fall back down and look at him again. "Umm yeah I guess...ah who are you?" I say in a shaky voice. I move my head to get a better look at his face, and see what I thought was a half smirk forming on his lips. "I'm Darek, and I'm sorry you had to encounter this. I was hoping we could have met under better circumstances." He slowly lifts his arms up to show me he means no harm. And for some weird reason I do feel safe. "I try and take in what he just said along with what the stranger has said. "What do you mean under better circumstances? I don't understand... Do I know you from somewhere?" He looks directly in the depth of my eyes, I could have sworn I seen a strange emotion slicker across his eyes before he answered. "Yeah...in your dreams." It's as if all air was sucked out of my lungs, and that's why he looked so familiar to me... But how.. How was this possible, they were just dreams. Weren't they? But before I could ask any further I felt light headed and dizzy. Next thing I know I'm falling and just before blacking out, I felt a pair of strong arms catch me.
** I know my chapters are short, but I felt this was a good way to end this chapter. Hope you are all enjoying this read as I am writing it. Once again it's not edited and will be lots of bad grammar. Bare with me, it's just me in my own doing this. Thanks and do to forget to like and vote. :)
