Changes

Chase's POV

It was around 1 pm and everything was back to normal, people laughing, arguing, and talking. I remembered that around this time at school it was free period so Im thinking maybe I could catch Charli over there and say something to her. 

I was walking out of the alley until I heard someone calling my name, 

Chase, chase, chase!

I stopped walking and turned around, there was just a shadow at first but then the person was starting to get more visible. I thought it was Jaden but then I looked again and It was Vinnie.

Vinnie-"Chase" he calls 

Chase-"what do you want?" I sounded annoyed cause all I wanted to do was be quick before free period was over 

Vinnie-"come back with some food for me and Colson and we'll pay you back yeah?" he asked

chase-"yeah whatever" I mumbled

Vinnie-"ok cool thanks man" I hit my chest 

I walked away from him and rushed to the school, I got there and I still saw a bunch of students outside. I sat under the bleachers and then I spot her, she's talking to... Josh. They're both smiling and laughing, they look happy. I was watching them for a while and that's when Josh leans in and kisses her. My heart felt like it dropped, my stomach felt weird, and I felt my feelings crush.

They were still at it he was kissing her and she was kissing back. She told me she had nothing with him, she told me they were just friends. Did she lie? I watched them pull away and give shy little smiles at each other.

 I guess the girl who could have changed my life just ruined it...  Whatever this is what I get for trusting someone so fast. Lesson learned Chase don't trust anyone. I got up and I went to go get some food for the 2. I came back and went to the stage where I just knew Vinnie or Colson was gonna be there. 

I walked into the small building and saw Colson making out with some girl... gross.

Chase-"hey Colson got the food you and Vinnie asked for" I awkwardly said

He turned around and he smirked

Colson-"sorry about that, but thanks my boy" he slurred 

Chase-"no problem" I shrugged my shoulders

Colson-"what's up?" he asked

Chase-"nothing" I shake my head

Colson-"you're acting weirder than usual bud"

Chase-"I don't know I think im just tired"

Colson-"ok..." he shrugged his shoulder

Colson-"VINNIE! THE FOOD" He yelled

I heard someone running through the door and it was Vinnie

Vinnie-" thanks Chase you're the best"

They were starting to eat and while they were at it they both gave me some money. I got $15 from Vinnie and $45 from Colson

Colson-"don't tell anyone im giving you that much, they'll all be jealous of you" 

Vinnie-"wow looks like chase is a favorite"

I laugh a bit and walk away, I see Jaden talking to Cynthia

Chase-"hey guys?" I said confused as to why they would be hanging out and talking

Jaden-"heyyy..." his eyes widen a bit

Cynthia-"hi" 

Chase-"Jaden let's talk" I kinda demand

Jaden-"ok" 

We went somewhere Cynthia probably wouldn't hear us 

Jaden-"what's up?"

Chase-"She's dead to me" I growled

Jaden-"what why? what happened?" 

Chase-" she told me she didn't have feelings for that asshole Josh but yet I see her kissing him" I got a tense

Jaden-"oh that's fucked up..."

Jaden-" don't worry Chase im here for you, so just forget that hoe, now just fuck as many girls you can to get your mind off her" he smiles

Chase-"shut up dude" I smiled a little

Chase-"but thanks for trying to help"

Jaden-"you're welcome" 

Jaden was a good friend, one of the only people I could ever trust, been there for each other for as long as I could remember.

We both walked away and I just went to my room. I laid down on my bed and stared at the ceiling. I was thinking way too much for someone who I never even had a chance good with, maybe Jaden was right I should go have one night stands with a bunch of girls but I knew I wasn't like that.

I got on my phone and saw a bunch of pictures of people, then I saw a picture of Jaden and Cynthia... It's so weird they're hanging out but I guess they're just friends... right? yeah, Jaden would never do that to me. I kept scrolling and saw a picture on Charli's Instagram of her and Josh, they were holding each other I sighed and put my phone down. Im keep remind myself

"You don't need her"

"You two couldn't even be together"

"God did this for a reason"

"Our love wasn't even going to last"

I tried to stop thinking about her and go out to eat, I walked into a Starbucks just because I wanted something sweet. I was kinda embarrassed walking in here. I was waiting in line, just looking around at the people on their computers with coffee, some people hanging out but then I saw Charli... with Josh, Maddie, and Addison. I got even more embarrassed please dont see me, please don't see me. 

I looked over at them, my eyes went straight to Charli, she was sitting right beside Josh and he had his arm around her. I think they're together and my chances were 1% but now they're 0. I got a muffin and a cake pop and quickly walked out. I heard the door close and I let out the biggest sigh.

I went back and locked myself in my room, eating my cake pop, and muffin while blasting music. I was singing and I heard the pain in my voice. I heard a knock on the door and they called out

?-"it's me Jaden"

Chase-"nice now can you go away"

Jaden-"well damn who hurt you" he teased

Chase-"Haha so funny" I sarcastically said

Jaden-" bye now I'll see you later"

Chase-"goodnight brother"

Jaden-"peace"

I kept doing the same until 3 am, I got a lot of knocks on the door saying to shut the hell up but did I listen, no way, I just told them to fuck off. I was in my feelings and that's okay, I was a bit sad and that's okay. Everything I was feeling was okay.
