I woke up to a thud in my room and I jumped up and screamed.

Mama: "Oh god,I'm sorry baby. That was just me."

I sat up trying to regain my breath but I couldn't.

I was just shaking and it started getting worse.

Mama: "Christ,I'm so sorry honey. In through your nose,and out through your mouth."
She instructs as she holds my hand.

I try my best to gain a full breath of air but it was quite difficult.

Mama: "Come on. My babies a fighter,I know you can do it." She says with a smile.

After a couple more tries,I manage to get my breathing under control."

You: "Ooooh,ahhhh." I breathe.

Mama: "That's my girl! High-five!"

I give her one and she grins.

Mama: "I'm sorry again,I didn't mean to wake you like that."

You: "It's alright Ma,I guess I'm just still jumpy from what happened."

Mama: "And you have every right to be. I was just checking up on you to see if you needed anything."

You: "Thanks Mama,oh and I've been meaning to ask. What did you and Raymond get up to?"

A big smile appears across her face.

Mama: "My mouth is zipped shut for the time being,but you and Liliana will be given the news soon." She says happily.

You: "Ahh,it's news now is it?" I playfully joke.

Mama: "Like I said,my mouth is zipped." She says doing this action "🤐."

You: "Okay,you can rest now Mama. Believe me,I'm fine."

I run her shoulder.

Mama: "You sure?"

You: "Positive."

Mama: "Ohhhh alright." She says giving me a kiss on my forehead.

Mama: "Goodnight baby."

You: "Goodnight Ma." I grin from ear to ear and she leaves.

Now how the fuck do I go to sleep...

I have school tomorrow...

and oh shit,I forgot to do the homework 🤦‍♀️

I guess I'll wing it in the morning 🪱👄👩🏻‍🦰🌈
