Chapter 2

Rosekit pounced on a leaf blowing in the wind with laughter. She loved being in the camp playing with random things. Even loved looking up at the trees that seemed to touch the sky. She twirled in amazement looking at the milky blue sky.

She stopped when she saw Petalnose walk out of the nursery. She bounded up to her "Hi Petalnose!" Rosekit meowed with happiness. She tried being the best to Petalnose since her sister, Primrosekit died.

Petalnose smiled and her eyes brightened. "Hello Rosekit! Where is your brother?" Rosekit rolled her eyes. Her brother, Tigerkit, was always in the medicine den. She never understood how he could want to be near those gross herbs! Besides, there are already two medicine cats since now Honeypaw is Honeyseed now. 

Before Rosekit could answer, Dawnbreeze came over when he entered the camp after dawn patrol with Jaysong, Batwing, Mousepaw, and Ivyfoot. Petalnose and Dawnbreeze nuzzled for a few heart beats and turned their attention to Rosekit. "Oh my little kits are growing so fast! Two more moons until you're gonna be an apprentice!" Dawnbreeze meowed with delight. Petalnose's eyes gleamed and nodded. Rosekit just sat down and started licking her paw with embarrassment.

Everything went calm when night rose over the land. Rosekit loved the night. Always loved the stars. Sometimes sit outside the nursery watching the stars hoping not to be seen by who was night watching. Rosekit glared at the sky with her rosy eyes. The sky always made her think of Primrosekit's eyes. Dark blue and bright. 

She wished she had her sister now, watching the stars with her. Something caught her eye. The stars... They were in a shape! A rose! "Whoa," She glared up in amazement. A rose just like in my name she giggled inside her mind. She curled up still glancing at the rose in the sky and then let sleep take her body over.
